Here's my dilemma. I was planning on a trip back to Thailand but can't really get away for a long trip right now so I'm thinking of flying down to CR in a couple of weeks.
I'm not sure if it's worth the expense to go. I don't have much time to read up on the forums but from what I can gather FL'ers should be 60 - 80 for a couple of hours. I had always read , on other boards, that the prices had gone way up in CR

I'm trying to justify the cost so if somebody can help with current prices
What would be a good ballpark figure for a Tica from DR or SL to go TLN?

I was thinking of a budget of $200 a day but not really sure if thats enough for say maybe 2 ticas a day (1 ST and 1 TLN) plus food , taxis, drinks and well I guess thats all

I have done a quick search for maps but haven't seen any very good ones. Can somebody provide a link to a decent map. I wanted something that had most hotels and hot spots pinpointed.

Any help would be appreciated and if all goes well I'll be down in a couple of weeks

A Tica is a female who is of Costa Rican nationality. Tica is not synonymous with ho*ker.

Does your $200/day include hotel? If you do the MP's in the morning and TLN with an SL or DR chica, and keep your other spending under control, then..yes, I think you can do it for $200/day. Personally, I'd throw another $50/day on for a cushion.

We have a most excellent map and tons of info here on MPs, individual providers, etc....but it's only available to CRT VIPs (paid members). It's $39/ year and you can pay for and pick up the card directly from Brother BKTuna (Boyd) at the Dunn Inn. Being a VIP will enhance your experience.
BTW, we recently had a Thread with Poll on this same question--consensus of 50+ respondents was about $250 per day.

If you want to stay at $200/day including hotel and food you may have to go only to MPs if you want 2 pops a day. You may be able to negotiate 2 hours for $60 with an independent.
the CRT VIP card will give you lots of discounts. It took me a total of 4 days between applying for the card and receiving it at my home in the mail. You can also pick it up in person at the Dunn Inn
You may wish to engage the services of Pops to show you the ropes and save you money.

I just signed up for the VIP DC so hopefully that will help with some questions.

I was thinking $200 not including hotel but not a tight budget. I just didn't want to spend as much as I would on a 2 week trip to Thailand, especially since I'm heading back there in October.

I'm about 2 seconds away from pulling the trigger. I can get a Continental flight from ORD for $425 and an upgrade is available. I called SL yesterday and they had a room available so I think I'm good to go. Oh by the way does the SL have a pool?

I still am unsure about the prices for an evening TLN and most of the posts I've read are lacking that info. I know it can vary wildly but I was just trying to get some ballpark figures.
Anybody care to elaborate?

Wetwillie: You probably won't want to swim while there, as it is the rainy season and SJO is generally cool (temperature). I'd pull the trigger on that ticket if SL has a room...it is as if the stars are aligned here.

Thanks again for the info guys. I just finished booking everything so I'll be flying in on the 22nd for a week. Managed to get a room @ SL too.

After seeing a few of the pics in the VIP section I'm really looking forward to getting there. I hope the quality and quantity is good right now. I always liked the Dominican chicas so I should be good but I still miss Thailand and the LBFM's.

Keep in mind CR, MDE, etc.. can be much different then mongering in Thailand..

I really can't speak about the HDR but the dance club across the street, the Key Largo has a few Dominicanas. They're not rare but not plentiful either OTOH the one's I've seen were smokin' hot--guess the ugly and gordita don't bother to come. Just an opinion...

Del Rey and Key Largo (across the street) will have Dominicanas. I have found a few good ones. Most though, will try to have you buy them drinks or food before you even tell them your name. Just be patient, there are definately some good ones. Since you are at the SL, I believe Jackie is a Dom and she is there about 9 am to 2 pm. Pretty girl too.

As far as TLN prices, it varies. $100 I would say is fair, esp at these times. I have had girls stay all night for the original $60 or $80 we negotiated. Sometimes all night to them means as soon as the sun comes out, the night is over. You will have to see. Try to get them for the 2 hours and see what happens. You might ring their bell like an ice cream truck and she stays. I don't think there is a rule book. But, if a chica wants cien for an hour, it will usually be mechanical. $150+ for TLN, she is planning on leaving at 6:00 (there will be a phone call). The girls that hang at SL tend to be a bit more real but these are working girls we are talking about, so there is always a surprise or two.

Thanks Dean, that was just the kind of info I was looking for. Nice to know what the good girls will take as a fair price so I can weed out the hustlers.

Lots of Dominicanas to be found in the DR as well...although none really compare to Yaki of SL. Actually, that's probably true regardless of nationality. Anyway, they're there, more often during the daytime.
