I am familiar with the usual hotels near downtown. Does anyone know of any high end hotels that are chica friendly
or basically have no issue with guests at your room.

The higher-end ones probably don't want to become publicly known for being openly guest-friendly and we probably don't want to brand them as such for fear they might go the other way, but with discretion, yes, they do exist. PM me if you want the names.

Another way to go if you choose a Chica-unfriendly hotel (or one is chosen for you) would be the "Love Motels" like Hotel Asia. A Search here for motels will yield more info on these. Just sayin'...

The White House in Escazu. Very nice place to say, a great restaurant for an elegant meal. The place is cool. Far from the Gulch action, though, approx. 15 minutes. They have their own car service, too.
