I have let my weight drift up yet once again. The last time I got serious about getting back in shape a group of us did a little contest. A year later four of the 7 of us ran a marathon.

For anyone that wants to join in for a % of weight loss contest beginning this week and ending Labor Day, I will ante up one HLH session to the winner. You can compete without anteing up anything but obviously a little skin in the game is good.

Sign up on this thread and post your starting weight. I am at 318 as of yesterday. My goal is to get to the weight I ran the marathon at 258.

Good Luck,

BKTUNA/Boyd

Why not? Don't know about running a marathon. Since I'm never going to see spring here which is when I try to work out more, I'll give this a shot. I let myself go over the winter, up to 207    Yeah, I think %'s would be fair, besides I usually drop 5-10 #'s on my trips, sexercise is a blast :!: :!:

As of this morning I am 243 . I sure wish you would have posted this thread back in January when I weighed in at 293 :D

In January 2009 I wieghed in at 318  which was the heaviest I have ever been.

I still have a long way to go but I feel so much better already. I have struggled with my weight my entire adult life and realize how difficult it can be. I wish everyone luck and maybe this thread can provide some additional motivation and support to help us all reach our goals!

BK and the rest of you, I wish you the best. BK, as you know, I struggled with my weight in the past but have been holding at my ideal weight for over a year now. I know how goal oriented you are so I have no doubt you will accomplish what you set your mind to. Losing that weight along with regular exercise makes you feel like a new person. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE.

My talking scale tells me I now weigh 252 lbs.

Count me in. :D (Hint...despite my earlier protestations, I may actually be in SJ for a Labor Day weigh-in). :D

I thought your talking scale said, "I don't know what you guys think you are doing, but one of you better get off now!."

You scrawny little shit! :P The only weight you need to lose is that rusty load in your nuts, boy.

I heard you went naked last Halloween, and everyone thought you were dressed as a tube of toothpaste.

BK, do you plan on working out at a gym or anything like that? If so I'll gladly join you and we can motivate each other. I probably wont partake in the challenge , but I wouldnt mind working out.
