Just got word from the GM at the Hotel Presidente that the airport departure tax can officially be purchased at the Tour desk of the Hotel Presidente between the hours of 8:00AM & 10PM! OR UP UNTIL THE TOUR DESK CLOSES which can be as early as 8PM

NOTE ONLY THESE HOURS, so if you have an early flight purchase your departure tax the night before. This is the official departure tax with an agreement with the Imigration Department!

Just another reason whey they continue to prove to be a 1st class operation!

I've also been told there will be some great addtions to the hotel and are forthcoming in the near future stay tuned!

Do they also sell the $20.00 reentry stamp that residents need to purchase?

UPDATE!

This sevice is for Hotel Guests only and can be paid in cash or charged to the room.

They are not authorized to do re-entry stamps for residents

Hope that clears up any questions.

Thanks for the follow up Admin. Guess that limits there usefulness to only those who stay at the Prez.
For guys in other hotel the bank on Avenida 4 right behind Parque Central is a good place to pay the departure tax. Go to the first floor, not the basement, turn right and use the teller on your right, not the tellers straight ahead.

Correcto. The bank I believe is Banco de Credito. Never a line, takes about 5 minutes. Luis from the ZB shuttle took me there. Gracias Luis! Also, take your passport and not a copy !

Last saturday after a visit to zb I went to the prez to recuperate with a couple of mid-afternoon cocktails before I ventured to the mp's around oasis. While sitting at the bar I thought about the departure tax & decided to try & purchase it at that time even though I was staying at the amon plaza. No problem buying it-they didn't ask if I was staying there & I didn't volunteer that I wasn't. Readily accepted at the airport when I left on tuesday-much more convenient than the hike over to banco credito or standing in line at the airport.

Shemp:
with all due respect, The managment has asked that this be used for Hotel guests only. If there is a problem with a particular departure tax stamp, an error made by the person preparing, it or printing it, The Hotel is responsible for that stamp and the cost there of.

If you got to the airport and came back next time with a problem with the stamp there is no point of reference that you stayed at the hotel, and more problems would ensue.

The managment has requested please utilize this service for registered hotel guests only. They do not make any money on these, and it is a courtesy for the Hotel Guests.

almost 3 months later, and just another benefit of CRT membership!!!

This is a HUGE BENEFIT if I can pay the departure tax at the hotel, and avoid a possible 20 minute delay at the airport...It could mean that I get the second lay on the day that I leave....Yes, It would be quick, but if I can get uno mas tiempo, then might be 12 hours more before I need to jack off to photos!!!

One note,
I believe you can only purchase it from 8am to 5pm, (not 10pm) or only when the "tour desk" is open. That's what they told me anyway so you may need to get it the day before if you have a morning flight. I attempted to buy it after 5pm and couldn't get one so had to stand in line at the airport anyway. :x

I took my passport with me on one evening trip to the Gulch this past weekend. I was staying at the Sportsmen's Lodge. and went to the Presidente to see if the exit stamp was available. I didn't realize at the time that they prefer that only hotel guests utilize this service. The desk clerk took my passport to the travel desk (which was closed) and took care of it, no questions asked.
