Thanks for your informative post. Please keep on posting more about SL. I will be thankful to you if you can discourage some people to stay at SL so that I can book my room easily. Lately it became nightmare to book a room unless I book it 3 months before.

I think this guy is correct, why would you pass up the thieves and drama of HDR for a safe fun place like SL?

Alot of people are lying on this message board about the sportsmen lodge. I am here at del rey right now and i went to go check out the sportsmen lodge after reading all the good stuff about it...when i got to the sportsmen lodge, there were only 3 ugly girls and about 10 men...really really dead...

on the other hand...the del rey is packed with so many beautiful girls...few ugly ones...but over 200 girls here...wow!

whatever people are saying about the SL is false...it sucks...go check it out for yourself...but you will be wasting your time!

i think people on here are just trying to advertise the sportsmen lodge...but it sucks...stop lying to people!

i gotta go now...chicas are calling me!

see ya!

Sounds like just the type of tool that the SL doesn't need staying there. Good riddance newbie...enjoy the DR! LOL.

I think both places are totally cool. But, if someone put a gun to my head and made me choose where I will spend my last night....the winner would be the HDR. It's true that the overall quality is better at the SL, percentage wise. But, the sheer amount of available chicas at the HDR would bring the TOTAL amount of hot chicas to a number greater than the SL. Plus, who doesn't love to take a few trips through the gauntlet? Huh? Who doesn't enjoy doing that once in awhile. Who cares about the $4 beers. Don't drink, or do your drinking elsewhere. It's just my personality. I enjoy the energy and the sheer numbers. It's true, I have called the HDR a dog pound more than once. But, at the same time, the hottest girls can also be found there.

Don't go to the Sportsmans, I agree, but why go to Costa Rica, there are cheaper, more beautiful women in MDE and Thailand. There are ten times the women in the Del Rey as the Sportsman, that is a fact. Then again, the women at the mps are half the price of either and are comparable in looks. Like the gauntlet at the Blue Marlin, buy a drink for a girl at Pantera Rosa and see what you get. If you don't have the time or ambition to get out and find the best available, stick with the Rey. Women are where you find them. There are tens in performance and looks at the cheapest mps. There are tens at the Rey in looks that give 2 in performance. If you want to pay top dollar for looks the Rey is the place, even better Tango India has women that put the Rey's best to shame if you got the 3 to 6 hundred it takes to go with them. Notice the really best looking women at the Rey are the bartenders. You got the money, they got the time. Don't get upset when you offer cien and they laugh. For a dollar cabfare and five minutes time you can be anywhere in the Gulch. The hotel room is where you stay and play. Get the most you can for the dollar. If you are going to pay $100 per day for the room anyway get one with a great bed, jacuzzi, without the odor, the chica fees and noise.

Mike, are you showing your CRT card to the bartenders at the SL? I drank there for 7 days earlier this month and it was a little over 800 for an Imperial.

Some guys need the atmosphere of the HDR (the verticals, I call them); some need less intense 24/7 action around them (the horizontals). Find'em at the Rey or Key Largo and take'm out--to me the 5-10 minute cab ride enhances the experience. Cab fare + no chica fee OR elevator ride + Chica fee--it's good either way and the extraneous money spent about evens out in the long run.
I do agree with most Posters that I'd rather not have this joker Anunt around me though.

I just can't get past the atmosphere at the HDR. I like to go there for an hour or so to hunt, but stay there? The accommodations are overpriced for what you get, and I like to be able to have a little quiet time now and then, and from my experience, try getting that in the DR.

The Sportsmans does suck compared to the Del Rey. Look at the great inexpensive rooms at the Rey, the $10 chica fees, the discount bar rates, the friendly non-agressive girls in the Blue Marlin, the quiet relaxed atmosphere. Who would want to stay anywhere else. Does anyone staying at the Rey ever go anywhere else and find girls. No!!! They don't need to. All the beautiful girls in San Jose work there. Off course some of us old folks who have been arround here a long time are complete idiots. We look for quality women where they are to be found. We look at other venues as a place where we can party the way we want. Its easy to like the girls at the Rey. They really know what they are doing. Problem is they are experts at phucking the customer, not the other way arround. I prefer to pay $100 for $100 worth of service. Del Rey girls give $20 worth of service for the Cien. Then again the average newbie wouldn't recognize world class performance. The low rent massage parlor girls give $50 worth of service and receive $10 to $25. I walk out of them feeling like I really got my money's worth. I really don't like mps. If I travel to San Jose to party, a few dollars extra to go to the room I am paying $100 plus per day for is worth it. I frown on dirty sheets, no a/c, suicide showers, 2" foam mattresses. The grils at the Rey can be treasures. Problem is that 9 out of 10 there who look great, perform at a level equal to a getto crack whore. They have more rules than the IRS and like the IRS they change the rules to fit their needs. If you want trophies, the Rey is full of them. You pay them to look good not perform. I was in the Rey just the other day at 8pm on a Friday and there wasn't 10 women in the place and they looked like rejects from the New York Bar. All depends on timing. I guess Good Friday isn't the best day to pick up women. Don't get me wrong. The Rey is a great place to people watch, work on your game and maybe find a girl. Staying there and hunting there is for newbies. With luck, they learn from their mistakes. Some do, others are hopeless. It didn't take the newbie who started this thread long to figure out what is really going on here in San Jose. He is to be commended for telling the truth to us unfortunate fools.

What a load of BS. Nothing you said about the rooms is accurate. Are they nice ? NO, but there are no foam mattresses or dirty sheets. Every room I have had there the AC and showers worked just fine.

If you don't like the place I could give a rats ass but at least be accurate in what you are saying.

And the girls are like anything else in the world, some good, some bad and some average.

I went to the SL for Thanksgiving and it was like a nursing home (sorry but it's the truth) I was waiting for someone to fall asleep in their mashed potatoes or die,

Yea, but you've only been on the board 10 minutes so...

Not sure how many CR trips you have but when the dust settles NOBODY gives a shit who stays at the DR. This board is about opinions and helping others, if you are in the %2 of guys who enjoy sleeping there, then do what you do..

As far as SL being lean during your stay, it can be scarce at times but in the time I've been around I've never heard of Thanksgiving parties. A dinner maybe yes, party..hmmm, not so much.

Too bad you couldn't be at the SL this weekend, I hear a few people will be there
