I have to ask, according to one of your first posts your first trip to CR is going to be in early June. How is it that you're able to put together a list like this?.

Actually this will be my first trip to CR in June (my birthday) but i have previously been to Dominican Republic not to mention i work in tourism here in PR and i see allot of gringos get hooked on our ladies not to mention at one time back when it was actually affordable i was hooked to a local mongering lifestyle with friends. Ever been a strip club when they open and be the only custemor? Trust me not a fun experience. So allot of my list is speculation from my observations of posters, my own struggles with addiction to the "night life" and witness the mistakes many gringos make.

Why then would you start a thread about being too hooked on Costa-Rica?. I mean I could see a non-first time visitor responding to such a thread or asking a question about it, but not actually starting it. It just doesn't make sense.

Hey Coqui,

Please don't tell me how to read the board and please don't tell me about Costa-Rica. I've been at the board since it's inception and have been to CR close to 50 times in the last 12 years.

In terms of your posts about a place you've never been and your suggestions for improving a board you just arrived at they are arrogant at best and highly suspicious at worst.

I don't come here for a show, I come here for real info. and real stories about CR, not to read the museings of someones imagination who seems intent on getting feedback for no other reason than to stroke his ego. That being said this will be my final post on this matter.

I wonder about this from time to time myself with various new characters that show up with an apparent "atittude."
Some don't stick around long but after a trip or 2 others do seem to chill out, contribute and be decent guys. Part of the CRT growing pains I guess, I wouldn't want Admin1's job.

With all due respect sir, i suggest you get a sense of hummor. If you have been to CR 50 times then what more info do you need? You should be an expert. No you come for the same reason i have been posting on this board and that is to feel part of a comunity and truely enjoy the experiences of others. I like all the posters on this board (even you) they are funny, smart, and most importantly down to earth.

If you want to be a robot and only crave cold data then i suggest you seek out WSG Forum, or other more banal type boards were you shall get all the "facts" you need.

The thread was started to make more experienced posters laugh not to massage my ego. I didnt know you knew me personally to make such an assumption. Because of that sir i say with the upmost respect "take the broom out of your ass".

Why cant we post an occasional funny thread? As long as they dont overun the board i think that is fine. I am sorry if you are offended but i tried to answer your querry with the best tact possible. I do find it odd that you received such an attack bordering on flaming (Admin, your call) for such an innocuous poll. The points you made are fairly universal to the mongering lifestyle. But as a fellow newbie, I would advise you that perhaps there's something here we don't know about.

Information is power. I'm sure a lot of members are concerned about their audience. Already I've read that providers read the board and that perhaps that information is being used.

According to your listing, I see that you've posted 76 times in about 9-10 days. That's extremely active. I used to be on the CRS board a couple years ago and maybe posted 2-3 a week out of the gate (and most of them the newbie questions everyone starts with).

There's NOTHING wrong with that. I'm sure you just really dig the board and, with your experience, have a lot to share. I applaud that. But I could also see how a longtime denizen could find that suspicious.

So let's all be cool.. and have FUN!
