this area is part of the Zona Roja, right?

is there a general urban gentrification going on that is pushing out from the Gulch area towards and beyond the Central Market area?

and where is this new Chinatown area?

Tierra Dominicana is the area around the Best Western Downtown and has long been know as a very dangerous area even in the daytime.

The new Chinatown is planned for calle 11. It is where Don Wang, Tin-Jo restaurants are and where Idem and Relak are. I believe it is to planned start at avenida segunda and go south to avenida 8 but am not positive those are the boundaries.

thanks ID,

so, do you resident members see these areas being cleaned up and developed in the coming years?

has the train (or the CR equivalent of metro service?) service resulted in gentrification in areas near the stations?

just curious, as I have always enjoyed walking about some of these areas (albeit during the daytime)

another neighborhood I liked was where a lot of the small leather/bootmaker shops were located.
