while making the motion to vacate my Ch*ld support (he graduates in june) i noticed on the wall a list of countries that we have Ch*ld support agreements with. two that we do not are belieze and costa rica.

This does not surprise me. I have made friends with a good number of girls who don't do P4P but work in bars and such. Every single one of them has K*ds by a tico, who split on them, and not a single one is getting Ch*ld support nor can afford a lawyer to get it. Seems like the deck is stacked against the ladies down there, so doesn't surprise me if you end up with a CR baby with a girl and she files on you down there, it's not enforceable in the USA.

The USA and Costa Rica have a bi-lateral trade agreement for the enforcement of support laws. http://www.acf.hhs.gov/programs/cse/pub ... 503.html#c "On Feb. 16, 2005, U.S. Charge d' Affaires Douglas M. Barnes, and Costa Rican Foreign Minister Roberto Tovar signed a bilateral agreement for the reciprocal enforcement of Ch*ld support orders at the Foreign Ministry in San Jose, Costa Rica. This is the first bilateral Ch*ld support agreement between the United States and a Latin American country. As Mr. Barnes remarked at the signing ceremony, "Our hope is that this treaty and the laws both our countries have put into effect to better establish systems for the enforcement of Ch*ld support payments will be a model for other countries in the region."

Trust me: Due to the fact TWUNTS bees in charges of deese dinky little things.....they bees ENFORCED AND HOW.

Ain't no other nation in Latin America that gots one with Uncle Sugar, too. (Well, there is one with El Salvador, but we all know how effective El Salvador is....well....at least I do, anyway.....so it don't count....and let's keep our focus on Costa Rica anyhows....).

Now, what guys lose site of is the reality a support order is EASILY modified (at least in the USA), but ya best be certain it's gonna be lowered before you start the paper work, because it could just as easily go UP if you ain't got your paper work correct. Too, depending upon what state the order is issued in, you could also be paying for them college years.....

Further, there IS an ever vigilant support obtainment and enforcement arm right in Costa Rica. I posted about this reality sometime back here:

There is one catch to the process: The woman has to be willing to go sign the simple form to get the process started. You tell me why they don't sign the form. One has to conclude that the chicas do NOT WANT to chase babydaddy. They'd rather cry on the shoulder of a rich gringo (that would be each and every one of us....even me although we all know I'm as broke as a broke dick dog....the inhumanity of it all.....)

Further, there IS a Public Welfare system in place in Costa Rica. There is no reason at all that the chicas can't make use of the outfit:

Reading this thread is pushing me closer and closer to having the snip-snip surgery done. Don't have no K*ds and don't want none. Also, I want some medical records to wave around if I ever get accused of fathering a Ch*ld - see see chica? Snippy-snippy five years before I met you, no way no how!

Good sage methods there, but if it is your progeny you should at least be paying 100-200 bucks per month IMO, that will keep her happy and you can have a clear conscience (it is your K*D afterall) that you are giving her half to a quarter the 400 CR wage.....Even if you are broke and no job, I would guess because you are a gringo your on the hook for a minimum of 100/month.....I think DCarlos methods are for the lying scheming chicas? Right DC giving support on your terms not kangaroo court terms?
