A great hotel to stay at and Boyd (The manager) is the man.
Great Staff, good food, Clean rooms, Happy hrs (2 for 1 beer or Liquor). This place has no restriction on over night stay with a CRT card.
I meet couple of guys from Denver "Yupa" (not sure of the username) and his friend and we had a blast.
I meet Crazyhorse0017, Bigwavedave and Illico a few days later. If you are planning to travel solo dont worry about finding a wingman. Pops is a great guy and Boyd will introduce you to all CRT guys at SL.

I will be writing my first report soon....

Beds where super comfy, nice pillows, very clean ,nice lil flat screen, fan, ac and the staff is super cool. I Enjoyed the continental breakfest with eggs and toast and oj in the morning tambein 8) ..Perfecto!

+ 1 Tough for me to be objective about the place, staff or management--cuz I like them all. In the odd event you do have a problem, it will be resolved quickly, efficiently and no doubt to your satisfaction. No offense to any other venue, but I can't imagine staying elsewhere.

I emailed and got the CRT rate. Later, I called just to see if there was a difference - same price. Marcela was very helpful and very fluent in English.

PM or email Boyd (BKTuna) here to reserve a room. It's the best way. :D

I stayed in a standard full bed room on the second floor (#21 Sorbon), and at $50 taxes included (CRT rate) it has to be the best value in that price range (I imagine the larger queen rooms are also a great value, but I was shaving costs). It was on the small side, no room for lots of luggage (good thing I only travel with a midsize bag and a carryon backpack), but it was fully renovated. New bed with a great mattress, new tiling, new bathroom fixtures, 32" LCD TV, modern remote-control AC unit, large ceiling fan+light wirh wall dimmer control, great WiFi signal, and a mini fridge stocked as a minibar (has a padlock :D ), plus my room had a small table and chair for my laptop. Plus BKTuna can usually be found in the bar area. :D And for me, the best part is that HLH is only a block away!

Good point that Brother HikerTom makes about the padlock on the mini-fridge--no need to strip it when bringing back a Chica. They also stock it with good stuff--1/2 pints of a more-than-drinkable Scotch, for example--Dewars. I think the last room there has been refurbed--nice cribs top to bottom. And, yes, Brother BKTuna is nearly always accessible.

Since no one has chimed in, I'll tell you what I think is right. There are four standard (cheapest) rooms. Three of them have outside windows and the other one has a window on the stairway. They're all on the second floor.

Gentlemen,

One mans opinion...This place is "100% better overall" since Boyd has become part of the management team at DI. I would be surprized that many people who have visted or stayed there since can argue this!

Bill

Maybe "one Man's opinion..." but what a man Bill is and look at the vision realized he's done. Listen, it comes down to this--When one of your main competitors (though great friend) praises your place and your efforts to make it better for us AND the community...All the complaints are quite trifling. And before it comes up--I personally liked the Dunn Inn before when it was mainly eco-tourists; it's my only place now...AND I DON'T GET ONE THIN OR SPECIAL CONSIDERATION FOR SAYING THIS. Friend of the house?--yes; shill?--don't be insulting to either Boyd or myself.

Showed us a few rooms & took us into the construction zone showing off where the new facilities will be. Might consider for a future stay & am def lookin forward to the new addition. Always looking for new places to find new chicas! Good work Boyd!
