What is the best quality "Chica-friendly" hotel in Jaco? Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks!

Im going to Jaco in May, I have staid at the Copa before and had a great time but on this trip Im looking to stay some where else. I think the Copa is over priced at $105 a night.

Good Luck, and have fun

I have been staying at the Cocal for the last 7yrs, In April and Nov. It's centraly located. Safe. Great Bar. Chica friendly. (No Fees). At night there are some that hang around the Bar and Casino.

Here's the Website for Hotel Cocal:
http://www.hotelcocalandcasino.com
There've been other Jaco venues mentioned on the Board--using the Search function can help you there:

When you reference "Best Quality" I'm not sure what you're thnking of in terms of budget but if you don't mind something a bit pricier than most of the places mentioned I would recommend Hotel Club del Mar. Very nice facility and I had no problem at all bringing chica's there.

I think the best place is cocal as well. The problem however is that Cocal doesn't give you the control for the air conditioning. So the rooms could be too hot or too cold depending on the time of the day. At night, it could get too cold. If you unplug the AC, you can't turn it back on. Then it gets too hot.

Great answers! Thank you all very much for your input! I really appreciate it. I don't mind paying a higher price for quality accommodation.

I recommend Canciones del Mar; I was there in January. The rooms are very nice (I had an Oceanfront room); the place is chica-friendly, and it's a five-minute walk to the Beatles Bar!

I agree about Canciones del Mar. I have stayed there 3 or 4 times and always enjoyed it. Nice facilities...right on the ocean...couple minute walk to BB and modestly priced. The last time I stayed there there was a lot of racket (noise) du to construction/expansion but I assume that's over with by now.

Although it doesnt get much press here on this board, I really like Hotel Nine at the far south end of Jaco. Check it out. The last time I stayed there, about 3 months ago I paid $100 cash per night for the room.
