its not just sex. all I have done is trade one kind of problem female for another
i am gillty (sp?) of sending money. i was only in the d.r. for 2 days and the first one sure seemed special

I felt like a king, now i feel a fool

1. Never send a working chica money. It just makes them lazier than they are. If you need to give to make yourself feel good, leave a huge wad of money for the maid cleaning your room next time you are in San Jose. They live a real life and WORK for their money.

2. Never try to make a working girl a girlfriend. It will never work. It is in their nature to hustle and lie to make a living. I bet you if I took one from the gulch tomorrow, set her up in a nice apartment, paid all expenses, and gave her an allowance on top of that of $500 a week, that she would still work the gulch when I wasn't around.

3. Don't spoil them so much. Instead of taking them to the fancy restaurants, take them to sodas or local joints where they are used to eating anyway. If they complain tell them, "but mi amor, I want to learn and experience your culture".

4. Rule number 3 can be broken if you have one of the classy chicas that knows how to act and dress, and appreciates a good dining experience.

5. Don't play this game with your heart. It's a suckers bet.

6. Having said all that, treat the girls with the utmost respect. Be polite, be a gentleman and they will give you a good experience for the time you are with them. Then they turn back into a pumpkin.

I left my most recent 'rental' (semi-pro, IMO) at my apartment for the last week while I was back in the States.
It is zero risk, almost.
The guard won't let her take anything out that won't fit in her pockets.
I left instructions if she left she couldn't come back in (she does not know this), and NO visitors.
Amazingly she is still there.
If she hasn't turned fat and lazy in 9 days I will be ok.
Am I trying to save her?

"Semi pros" could be an exception, depending on how semi. What do you mean though by if she leaves, she can't come back? Hopefully not, nut couldn't she be going out for a reasonable amount of time, hooking with guys, and going to their hotels. Not that she is, I'm just playing out a scenario. I really don't have any experience with the semi pros. Interesting, that we all do our thing for different purposes. I feel like I fit into a category of my own down here. I'm a gringo living here, but I'm not retired with plenty of money. I work all the time and when I go to the city I'm looking to blow off stress. I don't have the time or energy for all the drama. Also, I was thinking the other day, the availability makes me lazy. I know I can find someone nice to bed, so I tend to be lazy and don't work the regular girls that could probably be had with a little effort. As some of the guys point out, there are a lot of nice girls down here if you look around that would like to go out with a nice gringo, who is a gentleman.

I left for a day trip to the States.
Business took over, and I'm still here.
Did I intend to leave her there that long?
No, but I felt comfortable that it was minimal risk.
I live in a compound and the guard is my man.
I have (I think) his total loyalty.
Anyway, unless he betrays me, there is no way in or out without going past him.
She is new to town, and probably has nowhere better to go.
But, yes, she is a temp, subject to all GFE rules.

Anyway, I did something that equates to having saved his daughters life.
(No she is not a DR type working girl).

Since then his wife has become my maid/cook.
She is one hell of a cook and a very discrete maid.
They eat my food, and are living in the attached maids quarters of my 'apartment', (I would call it a town-house).
I saw where they lived before, and they have never had it so good.

Technically he does not work for me, but the association where I live.
(It is roughly comparable to what in the States would be a condominium association).

Sure he could betray me, but where is the percentage for him?
His wife would probably make him suffer even more than I would.
I do tip him generously, and have had him take care of a few problems requiring a lot of discretion.
So if my choice is extreme paranoia or trusting my instincts, I will stay with my assessment.

I forgot to comment on what started this unbelievably long thread.
I am tired of the daily e-mail exchange, and have closed her e-mail account.
I don't expect to hear from her again.
