First of all,the Casino at the HDR has decided to do what the Colonial and Fiesta have been doing for many months now. They will start opening at 11 am instead of the current 3pm. They will close at 5am.I have written about this absurdity in th past. No laws have been past or inforced thru this whole ordeal. Remember that it was the darling Laura who changed the times to "save the Ch*ldren" from a life of prostitution.

Now comes the bombshell. Chad,the casino manager for many years,and who I never liked, has absconded with quite a bit of John's money from the casino. hahaha...... sorry about that but I really never liked Chad. John is currently on his way back to CR from his palacial boat in the Phillipines. Last report has Chad traced by his passport thru Miami and London. Word on the street has it that he is on his way to Ireland where he is from. As the plot thickens,I am told that Greg who was ousted from hanging around the DR even though he is a part owner, created this dispute with John because he suspected that Chad was stealing money and hired someone to look at the situation. .Well John,Chad's good friend and benefactor didn't want to hear any of this and ousted Greg even though he was still paid his fair share. It looks like Greg has been proven right.

Once again,this info is second hand but I tend to believe the source.

Any idea on how much he walked away with VB?

My guess would be that he was stealing for a period of time,so the amount is probably quite a bit since the casino made pretty good money on an ongoing basis.

VB, thanks for the story. I have never liked Chad either, but that's just personal.

May I ask how did John "outsted" Greg from HDR, since Greg is part owner?

boy, my dealing with him have all been good (chad) I know he is a sports gambler (could be the reason to steal, just a guess if its true) but the guy has always been cool to me. The way they take care of the money with the over head and tracking each player no matter how small the buy in, if he was stealing it must of been from the cage, I am sure they keep the drop pretty much in order. Hope the tall brown hair girl gets moved up....damm she is hot....(she is a pit boss only at night ...heard she was a lesbo but was told later not true) so again the only fool in a whore house that goes after the non working girl.

Yea, I'm curious about that too, especially if John is in the Phillipines? All I can say is, if I ever owned any part of the DR you'd never get me out!

As I understand the ownership of the DR,John is the majority shareholder with Greg and the older British guy as minority shareholders. There is a plaque on the wall next to the lobby bar in the corner which lists their names. In other words.....John is "the boss" and calls the shots. When the dispute took place (as I now am told was over this issue) John came back from the Phillipines to personally tell Greg to stay away rom the DR. It will be interesting to see what happens this time when John gets here to deal with this latest version of the ongoing Novella at the HDR. Greg was in the DR a couple of nights ago.

I would love to hear from Jeff (Zeeke) about this situation!!!

I understand why John is in the Phillipines. I like it over there as many other members. Now owning a big boat as a place to stay as we can not own land itself there is a good idea. If you can afford a big boat.

Wish I could provide the desired insider information but after 8 years I try to keep as far away from the HDR drama as is possible.

WIth that said...I too have heard all that was stated earlier in this thread but am unable to confirm any of it as accurate or inaccurate.

The more I think about the way the D.R. takes care of the money that is put into the casino ....I mean the way they sign off on every bill and I seen a guy try to pass a few bad bills and they caught him in seconds....my spin on it (since I watch and listen while I play) there is no way he was taking money from the tables ....had to be very inside job.....I did notice the last few times playing ...Chad could give a shit what was going on....the other 5 or 6 pit bosses would go crazy if I won anything over a few 100 and take the chips off the table ...anyone in town has any info on the story or more on the story ...please share !!! the story on the other site is mostly about could this be the start to the end of the D.R. which I think is silly....with everything now ...someone is stealing or at least trying to steal...

HDR is much easier to comprehend. I'm not sayin, just that now would be the time.
