Clarita's hotel in Jaco says on there website that they now have a pool. on trip advisor someone wrote that it was out of service. Has anyone been there lately and if so would you recommend staying there? I did the copacabana years ago and will not go there again because of chica fees.

I was there last August. The pool is small but nice, the only thing is that there is no bar service at the pool. In my opinion they could have spent their money more wisely by upgrading the rooms. The copacabana and claritas are much alike in this respect. The copa does not charge chica fees to crt vips.

Clarita's also has a horseshoe pit and volleyball net between the bar and the ocean. A great place to chill.

Rilana's sure looks nice. The site is somewhat uninformative about Chica fees but you'll doubtless give us a TR when your vacation is over.

Not to burst anyones bubble. Clarita's is on the beach and is has no chica fee. But if you want to go where the action is (Beatle Bar) you have to call a taxi to go any whre from there. It's off the main strip of Downtown Jaco. Don't try to walk to the main street, it's a good one.

Roger that, Brother Bubber1. It's a longish very dark L-shaped walk to the Main Drag and at the far end of the Main Drag at that. Kinda gravelly and your Chica will not appreciate walking it in heels. Better to take a taxi to and from your door. Jaco's bad rep is not entirely undeserved.

I stayed at Claritas 2 weeks ago and had a great time try to get room 19 it's bigger than the others and you only hear whats going on next door not on both sides. The staff is great and Driver named Adrian will pick you up @ sjo with anything you want cold to drink(for a charge). Also the the new hyway is open and the trip to the beach flew by. Afternoon and evening action at the cantina and 1000c will get you a cab anywhere in town . Theres a guy named Donald who rides a horse up the beach who is a good hookup for fishing or tours. I'm going back in june.

Where is Clarita's? I have been to Jaco 4 times and don't think I have ever noticed it. I had no luck trying to find it on Google Earth. I have always stayed at the Copa on the North end of town But im looking to try some place new for my trip in May.

You pay extra for an air conditioned room. The other rooms are hot as hell during the day with the hot sun beating down on the tin roof. The walls do not go to the ceiling so you can here everything going on in the room next door. The bar/restaraunt makes a good seafood spaghetti. Beware of walking around at night in that area. Everything sounds great but the rooms. I think I will try someplace else, any suggestions?

How are the rooms with AC compaired to the rooms at the Copa. The Copa is the only hotel I have staid in at Jaco and Im looking to try some place new for this trip. Im looking at Clarita's if the A/C rooms are nice or the Hotel Cocal. Thanks

Claritas and the copa both have crappy small rooms that are old and outdated, even the suites at the copa the furniture and appliances look like the were bought at a Brady Bunch yard sale.
