Let's read the thread again about Tico pay scales before feeling sorry for the girls. One good night in the BM is the equivalent of what a lot of Ticos are making in a month. Not saying be rude or mean to them. Hell, it's not even necesary to point it out to them. As long as in your head, you know what's what. Just keep your eyes open, there are a lot of girl out there that are fun to hang out with who aren't constantly working you.

Coqui has moved WAY up the list of my favorite posters and in such a small amount of time.

Take it from me and others who have dealt with Latinas. They DO NOT deal with reality very well. Especially the working girls. Their reality is what they see in the bars/clubs. Holy sh*t, have I heard so many dramatic situations. I'm totally numb to it now. Drama is one of their many tools in the tool box along with jealousy and envy. If you ever get to the point where I have with a latina the easiest way to squelch anything is to call a them out when you think you are being played.

Yes, T&V, you are dealing with anger. I'm guessing (and the Tica is knowing) that you hoped her entire letter was true. I always believe that all people are created equally. It may not show on the surface and be obvious. But, what some people may lack in education, wit, wealth etc..are made up somewhere else. The girls have adapted to their circumstances. They may be uneducated and poor but they know how their bread is buttered if you know what I mean. They are masters at their craft just as we are masters of ours.

As for the number of guys the letter went out to..well, it's just a numbers game. I can relate. My career is sales related and so are the girls. Talk to enough people, throw the hook out enough times and you are bound to catch a fish. As they say, "even a blind squirrel will eventually find a nut." They can be (as a guy on the Domincan board says) "master puppeteers."

I feel so "out of it". I've never had a girl from Costa Rica send me an email asking for anything. Must be because I don't give out my email address nor do I get emotionally involved with these girls.

If you are looking for "real love" the Blue Marlin is NOT the place. There are many online introduction services. There are non-pro girls all over Costa Rica.

If you get emotionally or financially involved with a "working" girl (other than for services rendered) then you open yourself up for a whole world of trouble and you get what you asked for.

Two rules of thumb when visiting Costa Rica:
1. No CIEN.
2. Don't get involved with a working girl.

Spending time with a girl having a drink, joking around, dancing or even going to dinner before you get down to business is all just foreplay.

When you finish your business with the girl, let it go. That's the difference between spending time and money for services rendered and getting involved.

If you can't keep these two areas separate then you're destined to fall into a cycle that only gets worse.

You definitely have to stay in control.
Having said that, It is hard to beat the GFE, even knowing it is a sham.
I wake up and the girl just wants to please me with every tool she has.
I don't care if it's shallow, it still is great.

I think the biggest thing to keep in mind is that it is a gfe and not a gf.

I have never lost sight of the difference.
Most time the highs are more intense with the GFE.
And you can just walk away.
