The problem is smokers, yes, but mainly inconsiderate smokers and venues that don't really try to use appropriate venting methods or sectioned-off areas. Both bring the shit down on all of us.

EXACTLY :!: :!: :!:

I have lightly smoked my whole life. Some people are too freaking stupid to smoke in public. I am serious. Should make these idiots get a license to smoke in public. You should always be aware of the people around you and be well aware of where your smoke is going. From the ashtray to the exhaled smoke. Not rocket science. Just common sense. Probably are cockblockers also

I only smoke when im in CR. Why not, if your going to drink like it is payday Friday every day, chase P4P like a k*d in a candy store, gamble away your rent check you might as well light up while your at it. That's what a vacation is for.

I do smoke cigars but I typically ask the people around me if they mind esp if someone is eating. If they do, I just move.

Simpler, they may just want men to think they are as perfect as they want to appear to them, trying to hide what they consider to be the ugly truth about themselves. And I may be reading more into it than is there, but I do believe they consider the basis of the lies to be justified."

I don't smoke and cigarette smoke bugs me, for some reason I like the smell of a good cigar or pipe. Nowadays, about 9 out of 10 smokers are considerate, and I figure that I can always move if it's blowing in my face. I just can't figure out why the HDR bans stogies in the bars. Are they trying to be politically correct or something? Too late for that.

For the same reason many restaurant, bars, lounges etc do. Because many people find cigar smoke very overpowering and very distasteful.

I figure it out this weekend at the SL bar.. after accidentally sitting down wind from someone smoking a big fat cigar.. It was one of the most disgusting smell I have ever come in contact with. and I use to enjoy smoking cigars.. For every one who use to be around me when I smoke I must say from the bottom of my heart I am really sorry.. for doing that shit in front of you.. it was disgusting....

I was going merrily along for 20 years as a 1 & 1/2 pack a day smoker until, about three years ago, my breathing felt kind of restricted. Went to the doc, was sent for tests and it came back that I have a mild case of emphysema. I stopped immediately, went to nic gum and weaned off that slowly over about 6 months. Was much easier than I thought it would be.

I personally think the smoking is best taken out of doors but it`s up to the establishment to decide if they want to allow it or not. If they do then I can visit there or choose not to. I can also move if a smoker sits next to me. I do not expect them to move as they are within the rules of the place. It`s allowed. I suppose it is up to the non-smokers that are bothered by the smoke to convince the owners that allowing smoking inside is not in their best financial interest, that it costs them more customers than it gains. Assuming this is even true in the Gulch. It may not be... I do know that where I live in the U.S., smoking sections in restaurants are pretty much a thing of the past, and this as smokers become more and more of a minority. If anyone is interested in quitting I`d be glad to offer support. Just private message me. :)

Good for you, Express. I like to see what this site is all about, buddies helping other buddies. Thank God I never started smoking, I know it is really tough to quit.
