I have been going to Thailand for several years now.
It seems human nature is the same the world over.

I have seen and gotten many of these e-m (invoices).

I have watched the girls e-m their 'invoices' to the B/F.
I have watched them change the name and send to B/F #2.
I have written & sent them for the girls.
The template is the same
It's just that they have different needs in Th.

Usually the Dad or Mom has cancer.
The brother has had a motorbike accident.
They are losing to farm because of an expensive loan.
Lastly - the buffalo is sick.

At any rate my usual reply is to sympathise and share my problems.

After I tell them about my sick auntie, my friend dying of an illness, my car being old and in need of repair and my businees being bad - not being sure of when I can return to Bkk because of finances .....
Well it seems to overwhelm them and I do not usually get a reply.

I end with " So you see everybody has problems - and I hope this helps to make you feel better knowing that you are not alone."

So to be Cynical ...
At any rate - this is their business and these are their tools.

Maybe im a moron but i dont think that she is trying to scam although i do think shes an idiot. Latina girls strive on heartache. They get very possesive and think the worst.

In my experience (i work in tourism so i know allot of latina strippers and high class hookers) they have no idea how to handle their money. They are like K*ds in a candy store and waste their money on frivilous things always thinking that they will make it up the next day but sadly they forget that not everyday can be a pay day and when their in tight spots instead of learning from their mistakes they cry and ask for help.

I see this again and again. Hence why i could never have a relationship with a girl from that "carear" world. Its funny when i was in Domican Republic i saw an older monger who quite literally got married to his chica. He turned the hotel into a reception party for the wedding and ceromony. I wish i could wish him well but i know 6 months down the line his only thought would be what the hell have i gotten myself into.

Its a fantasy guys, enjoy it while you got it but nothing last for ever and for the love of god keep your comon sense.

I guess this is a surprise to some but has been discussed before and goes on all the time, hence my comment about the "form letter." I tried to find my emails from the Dominican last year, it really was almost the same letter.
I know of a DR chica that claims to have 4 gringos sending her money. I say good for her, if they're generous enough (or dumb enough) to send it.

T&V, I personally wouldn't confront her with the emails or make a big deal of it, she's doing what she knows to survive. Maybe casually bring up the topic and see what she says, once a chica knows and trusts you a little this is not really a big secret or anything, that chicas ask guys for money. Besides what good's it going to do- to say "I caught you" and to humiliate her? Get a "real" girlfriend if you want to play those games.
If I wanted to screw her again I would, if not then I'd move on.

This has been my experience as well, Coqui. I've had a number of conversations with another member through PM's. They have no sense of money what so ever. They think it grows on trees here and that we can just go out and pick it whenever we need some. They are truly a "live for the day" type personality. Great post, I can tell you are going to be a great contributor to our board.

I agree with the statement regarding their lives. T&V, if you like the girl you need to let her know you know. Her letter, in its purest form is deception. I don't care if it's a survival skill or not. I realize they teach that lesson early on in hooker school.
If not, forget it..maybe show it to her and let her know you know. Before the explosion of the internet and boards like this the chicas had a great advantage. They thrive on our lack of knowledge. They are a "band of sisters" and think we are all alone on an island, with no clue. I have told my chica I know about the "hooker games." She doesn't even try to deny it. That will be my next task, get names from her of who is playing several Gringos. I have my mission and I will accomplish.

You guys have sure given me a lot to think about.
I thought I had my head on straight, but I guess I have a way to go.
I don't want to be taken for a sucker for sure (ego?) and I really don't want to hurt anyone.
I am definitely not in love or anything close.
I just want my needs fulfilled with contract terms I understand.
I see that my moral standards from the states don't serve me well in these situations.
What I would like is a GFE 'fee for service' relationship, without the drama.
It seems I get manipulated (by the TICA) into thinking it should be a monogamous deal, when she doesn't see it that way at all.
When our visit tonight gets around to business I will explain that I only care about what she does when she is with me.
I don't want to hear the stories, nor fund them.
If she can see it that clear it will surprize me.
