you can see what I got for 2300c in the Ticas & ladies of Costa Rica photo page 12 pick #9918. By the way I got 2 @ 2300c and the room was another 2000c. It was a nice little Pension off of C. 6 and Ave 3.

The only pension I know of just off of 6th on 3rd is a real 'safe' place !! I mean they have about 5 or 6 young Ticos up stairs at all times to "protect" you and your cloths and other belongings while you are in the room. And the best looking "thing" I saw there the 2 times I looked in, I would rate at least a MINUS 10. All the rest weighed over 300 llbs and looked like they were covered in tattos

If this is the pension you are talking about; seriously, I would be very careful there, even the Ticos are very reluctant to walk into the place!! As far as I know, the 3 pensions on 6th just south of Casa Portuguesa are still c5000 for the chica and the room (just a few colones more) and are much safer. As someone else said, I would pick one up on the streets before I would do one in the place on 3rd

Also if you want less than c5000, hop a bus to Cartago!! Just north of the market and old train station are 3 pensions where the room and chica were c4500 the last time I was there. They are much safer and usually you can find a diamond in the rough. Hell the last time I was there I did a Colombiana that had been kicked out of the REY for hitting another chica.

SJO is probably the only place where I did not get a SW. I have dated a girl in a MP, though. The MPs are very reasonable.

Streetwalkers in Sj are members of one or more of the following classes:

* Dr*g addicts
*Transvestites
*unde*age
*loca....serious mental problems
* Have been banned from even the sleaziest venues (MPs, bars) because of a history of bad behavior
* Decoys for robbers
* Touts for dr*g dealers

In my opinion, engaging the services of streetwalkers in SJ is not worth the risk. In the final cost/benefit analysis, you'll do better, be safer and get a better deal elsewhere.
