Ok Im a newby and I dont want to discrace us all by going to SJ and totally screw things up. Can someone enlighten me on the bartenders....some of them are really hot

Are some of them working girls as well? If so, do you approach them like the regulars?

Can someone help me out here?

I think this is a guarantee, approach them like a regular working girl and not only will never get a chance with her I would not drink anything she served me.

Bartenders at BM & KL make a very good living and they work hard for it, long hours, obnoxious drunk gringos, etc. It is not unheard of that with a lot of patience, charm and indefinable "click factor" you might get somewhere.

Most guys having limited time to "fish" here prefer the "stocked" pond rather than the maybe stream. YMMV.

I'd say NO , they are providers of beverage , develope a relationship over a period of several trips and see where it will go , if you have the patience. That means you are " not there for fun " Why bother ?

Speaking from personal expierience I will relate directly to this question. A particular KL BT had my eye for some time. After going to the KL say 1 time month for 4 trips over 6 months, My connection with her was there. We traded phone numbers and after another 4 trips, we finally after many changed plans we were able to head out on a date.

Well, make a long story short we hit it off but I did not close the deal to the 3rd date which now was about 11 months later. Once the deal closed there just were to many issues to deal with to bother pursuing it any further. Their ungodly working hours, working till 4/5AM, their continued exposure to the KL/BM scene the plans never working out, the language barrier all contributed to this 11 month project.

Am I happy I finally closed the deal sure. Bottom line would I ever want to do it again NOT IN THIS LIFETIME. After all thats said and done, it wasn't much better than just hitting the one you want who is a 8,9,10 and going on to the next one.

In my personal opinion it is just not worth it over the long run. You are there for short time unless you are very lucky, young, good looking, speak Spanish or just plain charasmatic, I would not suggest this route.

ENJOY THE CHASE THE HUNT THE CLOSURE BUT DO IT SO YOU CAN ACHIEVE IT IN ONE NIGHT!

PS we have remained friends, but nothing more.

I feel I am failing in my crusade. Of the characteristics mentioned, lucky, good looking, speak Spanish and charismatic only 2 matter to most women in CR. Speaking Spanish is a big plus and charisma. I'm tellin' ya the prized possesion for a Tica is a confident (confident=good looking), secure man, 40-60 years old.

I do not doubt that for one minute.. as a recent trip Kamur showed an ex KL bartender dancing for all the world to see and then retiring to a back room for some extra action Bottom line... Depends on the chic and the situation, like everything else in life......

On the last night of a trip about two years ago one knocked on my door at about 4 AM. Totally unexpected. I figured her rationale was it was my last night in town and I would not be around to brag about it the next day. The moral of the story is I was available to her but she was not available to me. And just for the record I am not a well spoken charming young stud it was about the money.
