3. A trip to Bermuda

This island is more than just a scenic place to visit: It's a great place to schedule a tax write-off. Business conventions held in Bermuda are deductible without having to show that there was a special reason for the meeting to be held there. That's a sweet perk.

Other countries in the Caribbean region qualify, too, including Barbados, Costa Rica, Dominica, the Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guyana, Honduras, Jamaica, Saint Lucia, and Trinidad and Tobago. Meetings held in Canada, Mexico and all U.S. possessions also receive this favorable tax treatment. Attend a convention in Paris, Rome or Beijing, though, and there's no deduction unless you can show it made as much sense to travel abroad as to head to Pittsburgh.

I've deducted quite a few (trips) to CR and Colombia and Nica and Panama and Argentina and Chile and Spain etc... plus some trips within US. But never do I include chica fees, just travel expenses and per diem as I attempt to expand my real estate empire (a joke in that I have only 1 rental property with $ coming however that is sufficient to deduct Corporate expenses). Bona fide I am looking for additional properties but still not a good time to buy, maybe buy end of the yr. then I go!! And hey not like all the deductions and alllllll my calculations and backup are costing the IRS that much per yr. ($2K top less taxes I pay). Christ they got so much bigger fish to fry and I am trying to make a profit. Al least Im not running a huge deficit like the same Govt. that funds IRS. Hard time for them to rapt me hard.

From MSN

What? Sex workers not tax deductible?
Lawyer went all the way to Tax Court with attempt to write off prostitutes and porn as medical deductions.

You gotta admire his chutzpah.

“Chutzpah” is a technical tax term that means, “Nice try … but no way we’re going to allow this deduction!”

Attorney William G. Halby, who practiced law for 20 years and specialized in taxation, went all the way to Tax Court. When the members stopped snickering, the Court said no.

Halby’s attempted medical deductions for visits to New York prostitutes and the costs of videos and other pornographic materials were not allowable under the Tax Code.

Brain sturgeon (yes, it’s not a typo – I mean “fish head”) Halby kept journals of the visits, including the date, the name of the “service provider” and the amounts paid over two years. But, the Court complained, the visits were not part of a course of prescribed therapy and he failed to discuss the visits with his doctors afterward to determine the impact on his health.

Dentist are very inexpensive in CR. I fly down, visit my dentist, have my teeth cleaned and can claim a medicial expense for the whole trip.

This makes sense. And, if the hygenist is sexy, maybe add her fee to the bill?

And I may be reading more into it than is there, but I do believe they consider the basis of the lies to be justified."
