I've had that happen before. Price change while you're looking at the page. Try booking directly on the airlines website instead.

I had the same thing happen to me this week. I always book last minute due to my work schedule. AA, out of Lauderdale, jumped from $394 to $889 between Friday night and Monday afternoon. I looked Monday night at cheapoair.com and travelocity.com and found a seat on AA for the usual $245 out the door price. So, I went to AA's website and booked. Airlines adjust their prices several times a day. Use the generic travel sites to look for the best fare, but I would suggest booking at the airline's own site in case there is an issue so that you don't have to deal with a third party company. Hope this helps.

The prices change all the time.....Airlines trying to wear you down as fear is instilled by them when you see an increase and you think....I better buy now before it goes up even higher.

Just keep looking and looking, they change constantly. Also try atiflights.com

this tactic really tees me off too. it takes checking every day multiple times. no rhyme or reason. the worst airline by far ime is taca as they throw out teaser fares and when you go to book it the price has gone up. was getting 500 plus out of lax and one day us air had a 395 flight and i booked. good luck

Did you sell all your shit yet :D
I got a friend that may want your kidney  whats your blood type

Lets do some math :o
Airfare $500
Hotel $30 to $300 per day you pick
Food $15 to $$$$$ .... you pick again
Chicas :D $20 to Oh Phuck I got no more money

plug in your numbers and bingo this is what it cost
The longer the stay the airfare per day goes down :D But other cost start to rise
A 12 day trip works out the best for me.... then I do not go by that and stay 16 or 8 days

Have you tried Yahoo travel at Yahoo.com.? I use Yahoo every time I go to CR. The nice thing about Yahoo is the price you see it to total price everything is included. Im checking it every day for my next trip in May.

Good Luck

I just booked a flight LAX to MDE (November this year) for $485.00, all in, on COPA. Arrives MDE 12:30 PM and leaves MDE 4:30PM, one stop in Panama, which is the flight I wanted due to the arrival/departure times.. It is at least $100.00 less than I paid last year. Since it is the best rate I have seen in a year of checking MDE, I jumped now.

I used Kayak, and they re-directed me to the COPA web-site.

After having checked fares over the past four years, it seems that you have to do it daily, if not hourly, to get the best rate.

Health & happiness to all..................

Brother Miamiheller knows the deaL Or Brother Dean. They're both down here every other week it seems. Ho ho. But serially/seriously try registering with www.farecompare.com especially if you're free to travel on short notice--they'll "ping" you on price drops.

Best days to book flights are Tuesday (evenings), Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Worse days are Mondays, Thursdays (afternoon and night), and Fridays. On those days you will see the price constantly rise as the day goes on. This is because they are usually the busiest days for booking flights. Most business travel is booked on those days.
