I've decided I am going to stay in Quepos for a night and was wondering the best hotel to stay at. Also, what are some good places in Quepos for nightlife and chicas? Thanks!

When you ask a question like that, you have to be more specific. What is your budget? I like The Parador and the Si Como No, but they start at about $230 a night.

The "Search" function here works well and the subject has been well covered. For nightlife, the consensus is, start at Tres Pescadores. No MPs have been mentioned and as for Chicas allowed and Chica fees, the info is here somewhere for the avid Searcher.

Check out a hotel called "La Colina" which is on the road between Quepos and Manuel Antonio, on your right side when leaving Quepos. Some rooms have a water view, nice pool, bar and dinner when I was last there. Price may be in the $125 range. They have a web site.

...and CRT being a full-service Board, here it is: http://www.lacolina.com Lotsa pix in the photo gallery. A co-owner is the chef. They list prices starting a lot lower.

Thanks for checking, I paid $75 when I was there, but it was off season. I figure inflation, a better room and high season might drive up the price this time of year. I'm curious if it's still a good value. It was originally owned by a couple from Colorado as I recall, when I was there a retired news camera man from CBS owned it, now I have no idea who the owners are, but as you say the chef is the part owner.

For 1 night in Quepos and looking to Party, the Best Western Kamuk is a good choice for several reasons and it's centrally located near several clubs. First it's directly across the street from Pescadores (semi and pro working females) Secondly, its right around the corner from Republic (a disco) third, its within walking distance of a late night disco, Arcoiris. ( Dont walk that alone at night) Taxi rides are 2,000 or less almost anywhere elseincluding several other discos / bars. I see a girl I met at a disco (Barbaroja, since shut down) when I go there and never had a problem getting her into my room, no fee or anything. The rooms are 60 to 100 dollars depending on what you get, a/c is cold, showers are decent, rooms are clean beds are slightly uncomfortable. If you want upscale rooms, try some of the other places mentioned.

Went ahead and booked a room at lacolinas. I wanted to stay at the best western b/c of the casino but it was booked and I read some bad reviews on it. Does anyone have any info on what marinas to go to where I can get a deal on fishing? Is there more than 1 marina where the boats are? Thanks

There's a guy who operates right out of the Best Western in a little office next to the Casino. He can book all your trips. Also, I would suggest Byblos Casino over Best Western, they're friendlier, free drinks and i've had minimal luck there and none over several years at Kamuk! Good Luck!
