What's the deal with this dating site, Spanish Eyes-- Costa Rica?

Is it a con?

They've had the same "girl of the month" for the past three months, and there never seems to be any new profiles added?

Anybody have any experience with it?

Back in 2001, I stayed in Vista Linda for a month and met this gringo who was in his late 30s that bought a lifetime membership there. It seems like the guy had a date every other night with one of the girls from there and got laid with half of them and moved on to the next one. He ended up moving to Costa Rica and living with one of the girls that he met from there. Dont know how they are doing but that's what happened. The nice thing is that they have meeting sessions once a week where a lot of those girls and clients meet up. Might be a good investment for some but I do remember that some of those girls were like DR girls. Asking for money.

I have just returned after spending a month in SJ and can offer some info on this firm. Just by accident I ran into a really nice decent gringo in SJ and became freinds with him. Unbeleivable as it may seem he was not in the least interested in the del ray type girls but was there for the sole purpose of finding a wife. We talked quite a bit about all the options available. He was already a member of S Eyes before arriving and had some dates lined up. It sounded interesting to me so one day I met him at their office and spent about a hour there. It is definetly not a con operation. It is run by a 55ish yo gringa from texas and is more of a one on one type process ,much more personal than the other services I have come across. Parrita, the manager will interveiw you and spend some time with you and try to match you up with one or more of her girls. Parrita is street wise and knows all about the delray girls and makes all attempts to screen them out. She interveiws every girl personally and asks the guys to report any delray type girls to her. The office is a very nice home directly across the street from the Bello Horizonte condos in escazu and can be reached for about a $5 taxi ride from the gulch. I almost joined and may still for a later trip but only found out about it in my last week there. Now I am not looking for a wife as was my freind but find that pleasant company from a girl thats not a hooker makes my time there much more enjoyable and also is helpful in learning about the culture of CR, the delray girls are not in my opinion accurate representatives of the majority of the CR population . The downside is the cost, she wanted $600 for a membership and I was not ready to spend that much with only a week left. She did not pressure me a bit for the money and we had a pleasant chat. And as far as my freind goes, through Parrita he is now engaged to a 21 yo cute light skinned hairdresser with no K*ds and is happy as he can be , at least for now. He is 54, never married and lives on a farm in the midwest. I wish him all the best but truthfully cant see how this could work but stranger things have happened.
