Actor Danny Glover believes that the Haitian earthquake was caused by climate change and global warming:

Says Glover: “When we see what we did at the climate summit in Copenhagen, this is the response, this is what happens, you know what I’m sayin’?” His obscene opinion would be bigger news if Glover had – in the manner of others – idiotically blamed a less-fashionable deity.

"Tool" is correct. Without getting into the global warming fray, maybe Mr Glover would be interested in this video

DANNY Glover’s movie project with Venezuelan strongman Hugo Chavez never got off the ground - and it’s because of Hollywood’s racism, Glover whines. So how can we give credit to anything he said? I think we should cry shame on him, Rush Limbaugh, and Pat Robertson for their hate for this country. The Earth is in the midst of a very cold winter and the global warming propagandists are very quiet all of a sudden.
The sun has been very free of solar storms and some scientists think we are ready to enter an ice age ( which we are overdue for apparently.)
The sun spot cycle drives global climate change more than any human activity possibly could.Google the Maunder minimum and mini ice age to understand what may be starting to happen and why we had snow in orlando last weekend.

This is a thread started about Danny Glover being a tool which quickly brought responses referencing global warming being a canard, Hugo Chavez, the villainy of those Hollywood people and even racism.

Regardless of what your particular position is on any of these topics, it would be extremely hard to make a case these posts have nothing to do with politics, ideology or personal agendas.

IMO, CRT threads about religion, politics or racism only cause needless conflict. Not to mention they are typically pretty boring. It's not like we need MORE conflict -- witness the uproar caused by BB's DATY thread.

Glad we have global warming south of the Mason Dixon line, cause my ass is froze fo 5 weeks straight and if I tried DATY, my tongue would stick the the fem's personal parts Don't make no diffrence, a froze taco or froze oyster tastes the same.

F it..next week I'll straddle the equator and look at damn big turtles, ocean lizards etin seaweed and blue footed boobies en las Islas Galapagos. Global warmin there is about 70-85 degrees on a year round basis. Even Quito at high altitude will beat the mid 'Lantic region

Global warming is a constant trend (not year-to-year but decade-by-decade), isn't only caused by mankind's actions but most certainly exacerbated by them and isn't a solely a political but rather a socio-economic and scientific issue. If you don't care about the fate of Tuvalu or New Orleans or any other low-lying areas, continue to deny it's happening. Then rave on--Mother Nature doesn't care; She's gonna do what She's gonna do (see Haiti, earthquake near or Indonesia, tsunami near or China, floods in).
OTOH, the tectonic plates don't give a rabid rabbit's rectum what's happening in the atmosphere--to conflate the 2 as Mr. Glover has evidently done is beyond ludicrous--it approaches paranoiac fantasy.

A little over a year ago we had a pretty good earthquake here in paradise. My theory is that two many Gringos were down here pounding the local girls at the same time. The world moved for me that day. It wasn't warm that day so global warming had nothing to do with it. Glover wasn't here, so he don't know, shit. Since Haiti and the Dominigan Republic are connected and we all know about Dominigan girls they may need to ask them to take numbers there as to when they can session.
