PostPosted: Thu May 15, 2008 10:15 am Post subject: List of Hotels with NO chica fees Reply with quote
I am starting a thread to provide a list of hotels in the central area of San Jose that do not charge a chica fee. This question comes up quite a bit and I thought maybe we could have a single thread devoted to this topic. Here is what I have found so far as of today, May 15, 2008. They are not listed in any particular order, so if I missed one, please post a reply to add it to the thread. thanks.

Thanks guys for the info!

Here is the revised list (listed aphabetically) as of 6/05/2008:

Clarion Hotel Amon Plaza
Courtyard Marriot
La Amistad Inn
Hotel Aranjuez
Hotel Asia
Hotel Casa Vino
Hotel Castillo
Hotel Dunn Inn
Hotel Europa
Hotel Freebird
Hotel Inca Real (waiver w/CRT VIP)
Hotel M
Hotel Margueris (no fee for 1st girl, $29.95 + tax for each additional)
Hotel Marruecos
Hotel Morazan
Hotel Nuevo Johnson
Hotel Presidente (one girl allowed at a time)
Hotel Royal Dutch
Hotel Zona Blue
Sportsman's Lodge

the nuevo johnson used to charge a couple of bucks...depends on the front desk dude and how well you know him (a cup of coffee and a roll from the corner panderia in the morning helps warm the heart of the overnight desk dude)

and don't forget to tip the maid for extra towels!

Per a post up above I think you can now add the Hemingway to the chica friendly list. This was news to me, but I guess not to many people were staying there and they gave in. If nothing else the place has a great location.

Brother Winetaster's post points out a flaw with this gen of phpBB--if you're looking for a Thread or Post composed of all common words, it's worth your life to find it. Hopefully this will be easier when the next gen arrives.
Thankfully, our crack (or is that crackerjack?) research staff solved the problem this time...

At the Morazan the first girl is free but there is a $25 charge for the second girl. This is what I was told when I stayed there.

You can add the Hemingway to the no chica fee list under some restrictions? They just became chica friendly but I am waiting to hear more about this. If nothing else---great location.
