Has anyone noticed or start booking trips for the upcoming weeks/months? I just tried to price a few trips from NYC/Newark to SJO and prices are significantly higher than last year. Regardless of connecting thru houston or direct to San Jose, CR...Continental definitely raised prices.

Anyone noticed or experienced the same? :?

This brings up another question..does anyone know why roundtrip fares from houston to SJO is considerably more than newark-houston-SJO? or just newark-SJO? :?

Well, Spirit Air flies Boston to SJO but there's 2 layovers/ plane changes so don't know if that's a viable option. What's your tolerance for pain?

Yea......I have seen a definite increase in Continental fares from Chicago thru Houston to SJO. Last year could get at $300 RT. Booked about 4 weeks ago for trip Feb. 4-8 and paid $ 360. Just looked a couple of days ago for Continental flights in May and tickets were at $ 430.

AA still has some RT flights for $ 280, but with terrible times, sometimes even overnight connections......and you always have to factor in the AA russian roulette with mechanical delays.

The same Continental flight from Columbia SC to SJO I booked a couple of weeks ago has gone crazy . I looked last night and it is over 800 dollars for the same seat I paid 360 inc. taxes and FU fees. How can they justify such a increase. Just glad I pulled the trigger when I did.

Continental screws the people in Houston on the air fare to San Jose you get it cheaper out of newark and chicago
