Had a great stay at the Dunn Inn.. being a hotel executive myself I can say that hotel has grest customer service.. I really liked Rigo ( van driver) he went above and beyond the call for duty!! great job Rigo !! another prop I like to give is to the housekeeping staff which were fantastic!! great attitude and always had a warm smile..
I will return..

i am curious, how does the atmosphere at the bar/cafe area compare to the Sportsman Lodge?

SL was always a good spot just to hang out or rendevouz and/or pick up tips of places to see.

The Del Rey was too crowded and had a much different atmosphere.

Cali
Apples to oranges
The bar is very nice but laid back.. that does not mean you can not have a good time :D
I run into alot ex-pats that live all over Costa Rica and come to town to get a dose of city life
I have learned alot from their insite on Costa Rica
The thing I like best if you are with a girl the staff treats them as a guest
Its a make your own party place
I have been trying to get kicked out of the place for years with no avail

NHhank is in fact on double secret probation

We cut him off at thirty beers a day and no more than 11 chicas per day or at one time. :P

In all seriousness the best weeks I have had here are the two when Hank is with us.

There is no chica fee for CRT VIP members, you need to register your card at checkin. There is a guest fee for all other guests except us. If you are still here see me and I will get it reversed.

Walked into the Dunn Inn the other day for the first. I was impressed by the dining room/bar. Real nice atmosphere and friendly staff. And unlike a few other places in San Jose the service was good. The happy hour prices are about the best in San Jose. Did not eat there, but the menu looks good and reasonable prices. Scheduled and had a massage. This was the real thing. An excellent massage by a professionally trained women named Helena. I will be back for more massages and some happy hours.
