Just booked for $309 return for Jan. 21 weekend with Delta. Wonder if Delta felt the need to cut fares after the incident with the guy on the flight from Amsterdam.

Detroit has been cheap for many many months due to competition from Spirit Airlines.

Ah...good to know. It's true that I've had good luck flying out of Detroit. It's just a drag having to drive there. :x

I second that.

During non-holiday times you can usually find flights on Spirit for under 500. I think Delta is just trying to be competitive.

Still, I think $309 is a hell of a deal. Just for laughs, I looked on kayak for a flight from Toronto (which is still about an hour drive for me) to DTW, got quoted $568 return.

I'll be staying over in Detroit the night before...what's the name of that strip club on Middlebelt near the airport? Is it the Playhouse?

$309 is a great deal especially since Spirit charges a fortune for inflight snacks and there flight schedule stinks. I think they have a 4 or 5 hour layover in Fort Lauderdale if you catch an early flight from SJO or overnight for a later flight.

I think there are 2 strip clubs in Romulus, the Playhouse and the Landing Strip. There is a Deju Vu in Ypsilanti but the best are across the river in Canada.

Yeah...I got good flight times on Delta: 2 hr. layover in Atlanta, I land in SJ at 12:55 pm so I'll be at the Del Rey by 2!

Strip clubs in Canada are great, but can get kind of pricey. It's more worth it to go to a MP or get an escort & a hell of a lot safer than the US too! I met a slammin' brunette milf at the Playhouse last year, would love to find her again, that's why I asked. But I have no issue with saving the $ to redistribute to my favoritas in SJ!

It is routinely less expensive to fly through an airlines hub city than it is to fly directly from the airlines hub city. This is a result of the airlines discounting tickets to compete with each other.

BUT. I think when the taxpayes bail them out we should gain just a little control over some of these practices.
