I've had similar happen. It's one rough stroll between the 2. I would consider a training program before you hit SJO to insure success making it across the parking lot. LOL Seriously, you'll be fine.

Then you must duck past the holy rollers trying to get you to donate to their causes or avoid evils... if you can make it the grueling 20 feet.. then once on key largo property you have only the shoe shine guy to deal with and getting accosted by working girls as they trek back through the same course as yourself.

You forgot the Blood Pressure he is rough

Is this thread for real

Answer to Brother PCBill--yes and no. A selective reading of especially the Newbie Forum might lead somebody who's a rookie to mongering and/or maybe never been out of the U. S. to ask that as a sincere question...and he got a straight answer without calling into question his masculinity. That's what we're about here, right? And a bit of fun with it in the bargain...

Thats really funny stuff dude but seriously the worse thing that can happen is you get your blood pressure checked by some guy with a convincing lanyard and id badge ,your blood pressure will always be good so don't worry .Don't forget to give him a tip for the babys!yes he is working for the babys (gringo soft spot ) I will promise you have almost ZERO chance of being mugged or Robbed or whatever crossing that street . Act as if you have crossed the street a million times like the chlidren who sell stuff, the waiter who fetches food across the street the 100 or so hookers the 100 or so mongers per day .. the cigar hawkers ,pimps (hooker cousins) ....ahh what else??? Taxi hawkers .... The lady with the feather paintings ... No worrys amigo seriously . JG

Yeah but Jersey why did you go an have to say "almost" 0 chance of getting robbed!! Couldn't you had been a bit more generous and charitable and said a plain "0" chance!! I know, on to a new topic and fresh material!!! And of course fresh Ticas for all!!!

Brother Zunbake3--If I may intercede--The difference between "almost zero" and "zero" is...infinite and unknowable. Walk with confidence, Brother, but everywhere keep that head on a 360 swivel, try not to walk shoulder-to-shoulder with companions (leaves you maneuvering room) and just generally stay aware of your surroundings ALWAYS. This IS being generous and charitable--CR style. Please remember your Gringo wallet is a target, and sometimes to desperate people. I don't want anybody to be a victim, but if it happens let it be to a non-CRT chump--you've been properly counseled.

Ok Gents:

I would love to continue this very intellectual and philosophical discussion but I am getting ready to fly out this afternoon from Fort Lauderdale. Will be happy to discuss further at the BM tonight but the conversation will be quickly interrrupted in less than 10 minutes, LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Go have fun, stick to your guns when negotiating. Recently, a couple of guys have paid upfront or the chica changed the negotiation in the room. I have heard it is slow around new years so you might want to have a lady set up. Go to SL and meet some of the guys, they can direct you around ground zero. When you go to HDR and then see where KL is, you should gain an understanding of some of the responses.

Simpler, they may just want men to think they are as perfect as they want to appear to them, trying to hide what they consider to be the ugly truth about themselves. And I may be reading more into it than is there, but I do believe they consider the basis of the lies to be justified."

Just got back from CR. Was there from the 29th thru the 3rd. The KL to HDR trek can be closed with this observation. The usual suspects were more wary of me and my wingman than we were, case closed!!! LOL!!!!
