According to many reports, the TSA is now telling airlines that new rules are going into affect for international flights to the USA, but they're not telling US.

Apparently, you can no longer get out of your seat in the last hour of the flight, and you can't have anything in your lap for the last hour, and there will be significantly more intrusive carryon screenings and some airlines are limiting the number of carrons to 1 (yeah, because they don't profit from requiring you to check more bags).

I was wondering....the 'one carry on limit'.......does this mean you can have one carry on bag, but no laptop computer, or can you still have both?

Actually I have NO PROBLEM with passengers being required to SIT THE F*CK DOWN when the plane is getting ready to land. Amazing how everyone rushes to the toilet withing the last 1/2 hour of a flight. People need to learn how to control their damn bladders!

An hour before landing, is not getting ready to land. An hour is a lot of time, and I can see a lot of people with medical issues needing to use the bathroom. I really dont see this rule sticking too long, after the first few people piss their pants or being arrested for breaking this "rule".

Also, why are rules put in place to specifically guard against what some random douchebag did? At first the guy wanted to explode his shoes, so now we all have to remove our shirts. Now, because the latest incident happened during the last hour, thats being monitored. What if someone ever puts a stick of dynamite in a banana? Will we ban bananas on planes? Or, maybe some liquid explosive in a baby bottle? Do we tell moms with newborns that baby bottles are banned? When will it end?

That has to be one of the most stupid things I've heard in a long time, prohibiting people to use the restrooms one hour prior to landing. That's OK with me...I'll take a phucking dump in the aisle, and then see their reaction. What about the more elderly people that are on the plane, those over say, age 80? Please, someone wake me when this bad dream is over. Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid running the country?! WTF! And the Pres...yeah, the change is coming (bend over). I saw it starting in 2001. The arrogance of the politicians is endless. I would have gotten out back then, but couldn't afford it. Still can't (well, maybe). Ted Kennedy's legacy...WTF! I'm a convicted felon because of DUIs, and I never harmed anyone, but Teddy KILLED someone and got a 'slap on the wrist' and continued to be a 'respected' member of Congress...what a country! I return from CR, and am treated like a criminal...having my photo taken in the 'back room', etc. Screw them. Remind me to tell the story about getting high with the Border Patrol back in 1976.

I know you're being sarcastic (& I agree with you, it's pretty stupid), but I've heard it said repeatedly that these dumb rules only deal with the tactics tried on the last terrorist attacks, not what the next goober comes up with.

as an aside about that one hour left/shit yourself rule.....they implemented that for a long time whenever coming into National or Dulles in Washington, DC.....no other city that I remembered, just the Capital...finally they cut it back to half an hour...then 15 minutes or somthing.
