Argentina! I was in Buenos Aires in June, and had a great time! Typical price for an hour is 200 pesos, or about $50. There are many independent ******* and lots of brothels, better known as "private apartments." Gysells is one of the well-known places, with a variety of beauties. There's a monger website, as well; shown below.

Regarding Cuba, I have a number of friends here in CR who have been to Cuba many times. These are guys who are not bothered by the travel restrictions, for one reason or another. They do NOT paint a picture of a monger heaven, even though they are almost the only 'Mericans there. Hotels are off limits and housing is crowded. If you do meet somebody, chances are you'll be doing the deed behind a curtain while the rest of the family is in the living room watching television or something.

Lifting travel restrictions is not the same as a regime change. The current government is quite puritanical about prostitution, though you (well, not YOU, but your GF) can get an abortion just for the asking. 180 degrees different from Costa Rica.

I guess this gives a lot of guys 2 more reasons to hate the Castro brothers. Or at least one. But as I say, barring some sort of revolution, don't expect Cuba to become monger friendly.

The story of doing it behind a curtain reminded me of my most embarrasing moment of mongering.

I was in Viet Nam, a 19 y.o. idiot. I went into the "vil" and found a sweet young thing. She got 500p (about $4.90 US). She takes me back to her house (hut?), and as I am walking through the house to go to the bedroom, Mamasan & Papasan both stand up, and bow to me.

Talk about feeling like sh*t.

With the understanding that this a Latin-centered Board, shouldn't we be expanding our horizons? VietNam was mentioned but only as a "back in the day" reminiscence. So I'd go with VietNam present-day. Then we need some of the world-travelers to chime in--calling Brothers Srilm and Rafi24, as well as some of our Brothers who've served in Afghan/ Iraq and toured the Middle East/ Gulf/ Far East. Step up Brothers--this is your time to shine.

I know back-to-back posts are funky, but:
Brother ID makes the good points about Cuba and why I said mid-10's (I should have said at the earliest), and yes absolutely not only opening up travel but also an idea change. I envision Monger resorts in the hinterlands so our "disgraceful" activities won't be in the face of the average Cuban (there's a reason Sosua and other destinations are so hard to get to and it ain't the beauty of the beaches--beauty of the be-atches maybe).
To expand on Brother Lomo's comment about camaraderie--Yes, absolutely, as exemplified by this great Board. Does anything of this magnitude that's country-specific exist? Serious question, but I don't think so.

Vietnam current day is a huge fail. Not a big time player at all, especially if your not Vietnamese.

My vote for the Caribbean/South America's would have to go to Dominican Republic. Decent amount of English, nice beach's, short/cheap flights, chicas for like 60$TLN, good crowd of people to mingle with.

While Colombia is probably worth a mention, the overall simplicity is not there.

For the grand scheme of the world, Thailand has to be the current pound for pound winner. I think slowly it will be squashed as poverty uplifts, and then it will shift to the PI

Colombia is a good destination, but it is really dangerous down there. You stick out like a sore thumb, and the colombians won't only rob you, they will cut you up for being a tourist. Tread carefully if you do go down there, always go out with someone. Although you don't hear about the FARC, they are still in presence everywhere, hidden from sight, but they will know who you are. Always mind your surroundings, because they will study your every move, especially at the hotels, they see who goes in and and who goes out and at what time. They know what taxis you take, or any other transportation method, until they know the exact time to get you.

I am already on record as saying we don't need to look for another destination, because I doubt if Laura is going to change very much, but I admit I already have another place--- the DR. I switch between SJ and Sosua because I think they are a great change of pace.

While SJ is an all indoor scene, Sousua has a great outdoor scene, with a beach and friendly chicas walking around everywhere. Flights to the DR from most of the US are far more expensive than flights to SJO. They charge more because it's the Carribe. But the chicas are cheaper so the cost of the trip is about equal. Also where I come from (ORD) traveling distance is about equal.

The problem in the DR is that it is not as safe as I once thougt. Since it is a total street scene there are many street people and beggars in the most crowded chica area. I was almost victim of a mugging right out in the open when I was there last month and I have been told this is becoming more commonplace. There is currently a story about a Canadian man who originally likely went down there to monger and then bought a business there, and now is missing. Some think he might have been having a problem with street people, and was last seen in the area where you find most of the street people.

Compared to CR there is little variety in the DR since most all the chicas are from that isle. But I still have found many beautiful women there and I'll continue to keep it as my alternate site with CR.

Nicaragua....there is some decent talent in Nicaragua, but there is a reason why the "diamonds in the rough" come to SJO. The infrastructure is not there. Where SJO is tourist friendly, MGA tells the whole world to come by, drop off the foreign aid checks, and phuck off. Politically, the place has been referred to as "Italy in the 1920's"....they have their own version of the brown shirts on the streets at night. Imagine....a police state where street crime is out of control! And will somebody please look up the case where the gringo was convicted of raping and killing his ex-girlfriend with no DNA evidence and when witnesses, rental car statements, and cell phone records all said he was hundreds of miles away from the scene when the crime occurred. There is only three kinds of P4P: semi-pro mistresses for long term residents, sleazy bars that cater to the cash strapped locals, and then the ultra-expensive high end strip clubs (think of the Elite chain of CentAm strip clubs) for the hapless tourist who wanders in from the five international hotels on Calle Masaya. Could I have a jazzy weekend in MGA? Yes. A jazzy week? Yep. Anything more than that would get depressing as MGA is as safe as Monrovia in a civil war, with a government more gringo-unfriendly than cold war Romania, and a street scene as depressing as Haiti.

MDE: Clean, efficient, safe, beautiful. I was impressed by MDE as I was by Singapore in the 1980's. It is not your dad's MDE.

ELS: Lots of street crime, but it isn't being condoned by the government. Great talent. Prices reminiscent of SJO before everybody got on the internet. Dollarized economy.
