I think a few guys out there know what I mean....

Viejo- admittedly, it was a small room. I did see a bigger suite upstairs with a balcony. It seemed nice and def made me feel like I was in a more tropical setting.

The staff and everyone was really nice and courteous though. In fact, Bill set up the appointment for me once when I extended a trip and SL was booked.

I've stayed in the SL but not in the courtyard rooms. And certainly not since they extended the bar. I talked to some of the guys who were staying in courtyard rooms and the ones who liked to go to sleep early before the bar closes didn't like it but the others were fine with it.

One time I stayed in El Rey which is in the new wing but very close to the bar. The noise from the bar didn't bother me at all. I just hope that the chica noise from my room didn't bother anyone at the bar

I looked at some of the rooms at the Castillo, and it's not a bad option if you get one of their better rooms. I could be wrong but I think that a couple of the rooms there didn't have any windows. I wouldn't like that at all. Same thing for the new mini-suites at HLH I think.

Cujo, I agree those old "box" rooms in the Castillo mansion suck! The end room on the bottom "courtyard" is kinda nice and the top floor suite would deff be good for one of your gaping parties or whatever you would do up in there..

As they say, you do CR your way and I'll do CR my way..After all, I am "not a monger monger"...

My bad Diego, did it seem like I was slamming the Castillo? That wasn't the intention at all. So again if that's what's making you sarcastic, my b....

The rooms I have booked are supposedly the new back deluxe rooms at the Castillo in the garden on the 2nd floor. I will report back in January once I arrive...thx.
