Sure Tiger acted stupidly and carelessly, but any of you married guys who think this couldn't possibly ever happen to you because you've acted so cautiously and craftily are only fooling yourselves. You might have reduced your odds of getting caught but you can never completely eliminate the risk. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time (or in this case pay the divorce settlement).

Another lesson here is that just because you've got a good prenup doesn't mean you might some day wind up on the hook. I have a good friend who had a good prenup, but (foolishly) transferred the deed to his house over to his wife one time when he was worried about facing a personal lawsuit. As it turned out, he was never named in the lawsuit but the damage to his personal financial set-up could not be undone. In the case of Tiger, one has to wonder why he'd agree to re-write his prenup. Personally, I think he should just bite the bullet, divorce the bitch and take his lumps now. If it is a matter of facing the negative publicity as a result of a messy divorce, its not like he isn't ALREADY facing negative publicity as it is, with everyone knowing (or strongly suspecting) the details of what he's done, with one former (at least self-proclaimed) fling girl coming out right after the other. Its hard to see how his getting a divorce could make things much worse. Of course all you married guys (even you non-celebrity ones) know there are many other factors that could lead you to re-write your prenup in such a case (e.g. still loving your wife, having Ch*ldren to consider, etc.)

BTW, for you guys not cutting Tiger any slack, you tell me if any of you never did anything thinking with the little head. Sure Tiger had much more to lose, but he also undoubtedly had many more opportunities and temptations with hot women probably virtually throwing themselves at him on a regular basis. Also, despite having a really super hot model wife at home, we don't know how well she had been taking care of his sexual needs. As you married guys know, its not at all uncommon for the frequency of sex to go way down the longer you've been married and even if it doesn't the attractiveness of a partner also often goes way down after you've been there and done that so many times. One could have steak every night, but after a while you're bound to want to try a little lobster.

I'm one of those guys that almost always falls on the guys side. But, come on. Up to 9 chicas. Could be bs, but it is definitely multiples, not a slip. No law that says you have to get married. Stay single if you want to play the field. She's gonna clean him out...

He doesn't deserve an iota of slack.

This is a man who has a billion dollars to his name.

Tiger is obviously aware of the perils of fame, so it's not like he's a neophyte athlete suddenly thrust into the harsh spotlight of media examination.

More importantly, this is a man who has made a career of crafting a "wholesome and cleancut" image for his adoring fans and corporate sponsors.

If we as average Johns care enough to disguise our activities by flying out of the country, buying Magic Jacks, and using diverse services like the Alibi network, then a man with Tiger's resources should be able to conduct his mongering activities much more intelligently than he has.

His behavior suggests either stupidity (which I doubt) or arrogance and a sense of entitlement (more likely IMO).

That's why he doesn't get any sympathy from me.

If I heard this correctly this morning on CNN....... Tiger has gone into court to get an injunction to stop anyone from publishing NUDE PHOTOS of him. Hang on....if this is true then we are in for a new twist that is more bizzare than anything yet.
