CO is the best; always on time

I agree...The only time I was delayed was when there was a BIG thunderstorm over Houston. Pretty much shut down the airport for about 2 hours, and catching-up after that was slow.

Unlike American where you should anticipate a delay or cancellation, and be pleasently surprised when they actually launch within an hour of the planned departure.

I've been using them regularly since about two years ago. I will be using them again this week for travel to Germany and a month later to Colombia. I prefer them over AA, Delta, USAIR, and a, willing to pay a little bit more to book with them. Never experienced any schedule issues. Bags to international destinations are free (within the specified baggage limits). Hot meals are still served on the international flights. The OnePass program comes in handy, and I can rack up miles using COPA and Aerorepublica, which are affiliate airlines. Continental just joined the Star Alliance last month, which means OnePass can be used to accumulate miles, or use them, on 25 different international airlines.

Ditto!

My trips to SJO from Chicago/ORD have been on Spirit, Delta, AA and Continental. Spirit...so/so. Delta....so/so. AA....never again. Continental was on-time, plus now has 3 flights a day out of IAH to SJO. My friends fly Continental from ORD to SJO and no problems. Continental seems to be the best.

There are high end flight in many flights. But, for a traveler trying to save a buck, Jet Blue and Continental are tops on my list after several million miles over nearly 60 years.

Continental's fine, I prefer them over Delta to SJO mainly because of a TV in every seat with lots of shows and movies to choose from :)

I know the 737 doesn't have that option. The 757 does. The music and movie option is awesome. Makes trip seem like a work commute.

All of their 737s that I have flown on recently have TV in every seat with directv service.

A couple of observations about Continental. They fly Boeing aircraft..."If ain't Boeing, I ain't going"..

Second, as a Silver Elite member, I get upgraded to Biz class about 90% of the time. It's nice to be "bottom of the barrel" and still get to sit up front.

Third, and this could pertain to any carrier...I was returning to IAH from SJO after Labor Day Weekend 2009. We were crossing the Texas coast, but had to divert south to Corpus then approach IAH from the SW due to a line of thunderstorms. It was early in the afternoon and summer T-Boomers are not unusual in South Texas. I was initially taken aback at the flight attendant's use of the phrase "extreme, severe turbulence." I was thinking this was going to be "Kansas wind shear" bad...The pilot flew that bird like an F-15, finding the smooth blue spots between the black thunderheads. I appreciated the extra effort and congratulated the Co-pilot on his sweet landing.

I have always though Continental goes a bit above and beyond for passenger satisfaction..except for when they lost my checked bag for a week in MGA..

Looking forward to the 787.

As are all the airlines who ordered it (including Continental) & are still waiting for it to be delivered thanks to delay after delay from Boeing

Next to Frontier, Continental has been the best for my trips into SJO or other places in Latin America. The only reason I put Frontier over Continental is the convenience of non-stop to SJO. Continental has often beaten Frontier's fares, and have always gone out of their way to help me change my flights at minimal penalty.

Yes this is a great option if you live someplace like say the Denver area. Many folks from New Jersey, Colorado and Florida can get straight thru flights at a great rate. I usually fly Continental from Pacific NW thru Houston and have had only great success. Of course the cost is more than the folks in the other mentioned areas.
