Join CRT as a VIP member.

Not only will you get access to great content, you're also entitled to great discounts from CRT sponsors (e.g. 10% off the daily room rate at SL). You'll make the membership fee back (and more) in discounts during the first trip.

Start working out if you are not doing so already. You will need every bit of strength you can muster by the 2nd day.

If you stay at one of the La Amistad kitchenettes rooms, DO NOT FRIED BACON NAKED!

But on a serious note, read, read, read!

Like MH said, just show the card at check in and they input your info in the computer, that way you get the discount on your room and at the bar/restaurant. Also try to do as much reading as you can, and show up for the happy hours to meet some of the vets.

Advice:
Staying at the right place already, buddy up to a guy in the bar, ask if he's CRT and then if so, ask any question you want answered.
Don't just hang there, (it's easy to do) make it a point to go to Del Rey, Key Largo around 10pm, Hotel Little Havanna (afternoon), New Fantasy (late morning), Idem (afternoon), Relax (anytime) if not to partake, just to check those places out.
