Anyone else notice the service at the SL is slipping? I'd say drastically?

Everything from not being able to get a waitress when its slow, to them denying that I ever ordered lunch when I know I did because I had a menu in my hands that they gave me.

I'm hoping that this is just a blip from the usual excellent service I had the past 3 times...

Or do they just hate me?

Just kidding.

Some people have mentioned they stll haven't worked out how to work the expanded bar, so service may have suffered as a result?

The part that is so surprising is that I've noticed these things when there was hardly ANYONE at EITHER bar.

They're still friendlier than the DR - I asked Mia at the DR if I could just have a DROP of guaro to try before I bought a shot. She said no, I had to buy the whole shot.

Mia was kind of short with me at the Del Rey, too.
I guess she thinks her shit does not stink.

Dumb little twats down here no little about service... I could take the worst bartender I ever worked with in the States and they would be a star down here.

There is NO substiture for OUTSTANDING service and ANYONE that runs or tries to run a business should understand that. The fastest way to failure is to NOT CARE about your customers.

Hello Gentlemen,

We know and Mysnoatb is right, our service level has suffered since our bar expansion. We have hired 4 brand new girls in the last 35 days and they are still learning. We just were not ready for the increase in business and covering the larger area that we have had, our mistake no doubt. The comment about it being bad at times even though its not full of custmers may have something to do with new people or being understaffed as well.

I know that if we dont get better we will lose customers maybe for ever!
I wont let that happen, believe me. Please keep posting about the service levels in the next few months this helps us.

Thanks,

Bill

Bill, they are at their WORST when it is slow. I've seen it in a lot of places. As soon as no customers they are in the back talking. You should hide sometime and watch. One of the biggest things I was taught when bartending and waiting tables was to never have your back to the room. Anyhow, I'm sure you'll get the logistics of the new expansion worked out.
