American Airlines is starting nonstop service from New York to San Jose, and vice versa, starting in April 2010.

FLT# JFK-SJO
621 5:20pm-8:20pm

FLT# SJO-JFK
622 10:00am-5:00pm

That's a shitty schedule.

Now you have Taca and AA to choose non-stop from. Be happy. Maybe they will fight and drive down the prices. I think I heard USAIR was getting out of the oversea's flights. Maybe AA sees something. For me it probally would not be much different than Miami or San Salvador. No direct from DC. Transfer in San Salvdor is a breeze.
