The train you heard 2 years ago is not the train being discussed. That train is the San Pedro train and has limited service and I do not know how close to the Scotland Apartemts is a crossing that they sound their horn.

The train by the La Amistad is the Heredia train and a crossing, where they sound their horn, is very close to the hotel.

Horns, whistles, in general lots of noise I agree.
regardless of the crossing or CR neighborhood, Yes ?

I have to say this smacks of the ugly American Nimby attitude.

:roll: Let me explain it to you. Surely you are familiar with the old adage that you are trying to compare apples to oranges aren't you?

APPLE: San Pedro train Scotland Apartments,

ORANGE: Heredia train La Amistad hotel.

Different trains different accommodations so you can not equate the nuisance factor of the train sounding it horn one against the other.

So no a train is not a train in this case. In fact even the equipment is different. San Pedro train 20 year old Incofer equipment while the Heredia train is brand new equipment brought in from Spain.
