You shop in the wrong places. White eggs are available at a slightly higher price then brown ones. Exactly the opposite of what I was use to in Florida where brown eggs were premium priced.

Well I guess you can get white eggs in SJ
The color of the egg comes from the breed of the fowl
Brown eggs have a harder shell and crack less... plus they do not take in the suns rays as much as a white egg
What is inside the shell is the same it is just a matter of how well they hold up
White eggs go bad sooner but if you do a large volume the price is cheaper
Not so in Costa Rica where you will find eggs not under refigeration ,very common, except in the USA
A brown egg has more shelf life
