I thouht I would put my two cents in about viewing NFL games.

Sportsmen has the best selection of games I was able to watch any of seven first round games during the first week.

A new place, Chubbs, was disappointig. Despite having 10 42" Panasonic TV's, they only had a selection of 3 first round games.

Sleep Inn has good food and a theatre like seating. Very comfortable, but only 3 possible games on TV.

The Colonial has a nice bar restaurant upstairs. You can gamble and watch TV at the same time.

The Colonial and Sleep Inn have A/C. I prefer a more open environment like the Sportsman.

If anyone has more suggestions, let me know.

David

my friend who lives in san jose (as a rule ,he hates everything) but he had some good things to say about chubbs .....first he said he was watching the games on 50in tv's ...all 3 were in the same area with 3 different games on.
This he ordered a grilled cheese and salad, the grilled cheese came out with chicken and cheese on it, he sends it back and the take the chicken off of it and gives it to him...he tells the server 'no this is wrong and points to the grilled cheese on the menu....they get it right this time ....he says its perfect (just like his mama made ) his words not mine !!! anyway the owner comes over and checks on him ....says sorry and makes him a second one ....and says "you dont pay today" my buddy says ...hey it was a honest mistake ...I want to pay as I enjoyed it ...the owner would have none of it ....I didnt think that would happen in san jose !!!!overall my friend says the place rocks and is going back tonight to watch the yankees bitch slap the phillies !!!!

you can also place bets at the Sportsmens. Gowide has an agent there with full sportsbook capabilities. his name is Mike and he sits in the balcony area with a monitor over the table.

We have the exact same seup with Gowide at the Dunn Inn, however I do not have thge satelittes until the new Casino is open.

Orange, it's located in the old Shannon's Irish Pub. It is next to the Sleep Inn, on the calle going past DR. It's painted red and blue, and has a pic of a bulldog in the middle of its name on the outside wall.

It has a great view of Parque Morazon, is pleasant on a Sunday, but noisy at other times (depending upon traffic).

I compare it to the Sportsman's supurb selection of games as it promotes itself as a Sports(booking) bar, and has an impressive array of 50" Panasonics across two walls and over the bar. It's a bar/restaurant.
