I don't actually have a rooting interest in either of the teams (nor for the Brewers :P ), but it looks like the Phillies might have pulled off the heist of the year with Cliff Lee. They practically stole him from the Indians, for essentially a song, compared with the Blue Jays wanting half the farm for Halladay, and if he continues to to mow down the Yankees like on Wed. the Phils will win this Series. Assuming Pedro doesn't revert to the bad version, Hamels stops being a head case and Lidge doesn't melt down at the worst times of course. :wink: :lol: :lol:

yes the lee acquisition was a major heist. dodger fans shake their collective heads every time he throws. even martinez looking great again and we went to padilla in a close out...
anyway this is a yankee thread so lets see if they can hold on tonight up 2-1 and threatening for more.
still sticking with my original yanks in 6 prediction

Huge win last night and sorta makes Game 3 must win for the Sillies with Sabathia pitching against who knows in Game 4....can't imagine Lee coming back on 3 days rest after throwing 122 pitches :shock:

Sillies dont win tomorrow and they could be staring at down 3-1 with Lee in G5...sure makes Yanks in 6 looking good...

Game 3 Pettite vs. Hamels.......Hamels better bring his A+ game cuz Pettite ALWAYS does in the postseason......

He's the only good pitcher they have. He's not going to be that big of a factor considering the number of games that he's going to pitch.

as long as it snows, I will drink a beer for both teams. :D Whats the weather supposed to be for the next week? rain/cold or maybe playable weather. so no one has to worry about a injury from not being loose enough to play? BB in cold weather is a injury waiting happen, and the last thing I would want for any body on either team
