Uh no--a little premature for the Champagne, Brother NYG. Actually the Phillies I think would rather play an Amtrak Series--y'all only have 3 starting pitchers worthy of the name and none has swung a bat in how many years? Whereas all of ours can at least get a bunt down and Cliff Lee could be a position player. We also have how many switch hitters? so lefty or righty we gotcha. I will say it prospects to be a 6-7 game series and one of the better ones. As LA found out we can be real junkyard dogs, in it 'til the last out.

Most definitely agree we can look forward to tight but high-scoring games--no blowouts in this series. I support the Phillies but am not foolish enough to predict an outcome. Again, it's gonna be a long series.

BTW and not for nothing but 11/1/09 is going to be a unique day in US pro sports--the first time ever all four sports (NBA, NFL, NHL and MLB) will be playing on the same day. ESPN is gonna be busy and a bunch of wives, pissed.

I would not be so fast to count out the angels quite yet. Remember 2004 yankees fans?

I'm SO looking forward to an Amtrak Series. That short rightfield porch will look sweet to all the Phillies left-handed/ switch hitters, and if the air stays humid and warm as it's been lately...BOMBS AWAY!!

Short answer to Brother Xman00--Greed. See my comment on the 11/1/09 events above--a summer game, 2 winter games and a fall game all played on the same day. BTW, it's snowed already in the Poconos Mtns. of Pa--unusually early for them. Hunker down, Bros--it's gonna be a tough one.

Surprisingly enough I agree with the Yankee fans about ending it, but those Halos are a tough resilient team. I'm especially glad that Mr. Bobby Abreu found a good home with them--he has always been a class act, and a good consistent player his whole career. He'll maybe get a chance to get his own back against a team that traded him away after 8 years of service (the Phillies). As long as he the only one of the Halos that hurts us...

put your beer out side, if it stays warm play Baseball. if the beer get cold play Football, and if the beer freezes, get clubs stand on the ice and beat the guy who can not sing "O Canada" with a northern accent

Question? if they get too much bad weather, will they hold this thing over to Spring, or more it to a nice warm place like, CR, where it make sense, maybe China will be done building the palace by then and they could play there>
