Is anybody planning on playing in any these events?

http://pokerhispano.com/torneos-de-poke ... ca-71.html

I'm coming down on 10/16 for 5 days. I will play the first 4 events, and maybe the main event if I win a seat.

Yes,I am. This tournament failed last year after the Radison did away with their poker room. They tried to run it at the Hotel M with no attendence. This year should be heavily attended with the new playing facilities at the Herradura and the guaranteed money.

Where is the Herradura?

How far from Amistad?

15 minutes from downtown SJ by taxi. It is on the way to the airport in the Ramada hotel.

Its also the place in costa rica with the best cashcame action. 5-5 No limit, the biggest game in the country from 8 or 9 every night, 2-3 tables of 1-2 from 5 o clock everyday, daily tournaments with guarantees, and also 200-500 colones game. Sometimes running 8 cashtables at the same time. For poker I think the holdemclub at the Hotel Ramada Herradura is the best game for the moment. It has a lot of the players that use to play in the white house for those who remember the 5-10 game up there.

It depends on how good you are. If you are good, they will not seem that good to you. But if you stink, you will think you're playing with Doyle Brunson.

But seriously, like any other poker room, there are good players and there are horrible players that just want to give you their money. The players that I have played against in CR are not very good. Honestly, they are mostly a bunch of chasers. They play very loose, you'd be surprised what kind of hands people win with. I have won consistently in cash games by just being patient and then attacking when I have something. I try not to let the chasers catch on me with garbage. I've won or money'd in a few tourneys even though my tourney play is still under construction.

I'm terrible. They call me "dead money". Look to get into any game that has "me" playing. I just love to give away my money. Playing tight is stupid and no fun. Give me pocket dueces and I'm in it for the long haul. I don't have fun unless I can rebuy at least 5 times before I quit.

I played in the $300 buy-in event Tuesday night. There were 95 entries and the event was well run. First prize was $8900. Orange and I were the only CRT guys that I recognized. I plan on playing in the main event tonight which is a $1500 buy-in with a $150,000 guarantee.

I gotta say that they ran the events pretty well. The first event started late, 5pm instead of 4pm. Other than that, very few issues.

The only problem was the unpredictability of the players. I took some of the sickest beats this past week. And after playing for 6 hours, I was knocked out by an old Costa Rican woman.
