Bluntly, they are a kiddie thing....I concur. Too, they make so much noise it's a useless process for viewing wildlife....wildlife hear the lines for miles and "dig in".....

Making my third trip 10/31 (late, no haloween party for me)-11/6 at the Morazan as always. This will be my first trip with no intentions of doing tourist stuff, and not needing to provide cover pictures of my trip.

I will be solo as always. Looking forward to checking out the SL. I walked past last time, but didn't drop in and check it out. Interested in seeing the rooms, and possibly upgrading my accomodations on future visits. I'm up for finding a wingman as well. In the downtime it would be nice to have someone to drink with, and bullshit.

I know my way around pretty well, at least the basics, HDR, KL, SL, NF, and HLH. I also stopped in briefly and bought a cigar at HLH last time, but it was too early for the chicas. Seems that sort of place would be ideal with a wingman too. I would also like to make a trip to check out Relax.

Maybe I'll meet some of you there. :)

DrRemulak,

I should be at Amistad by noon on 11/1 (til the 8th) and am meeting up with Pops for his guide service. We're probably planning on catching some football at SL and then seeing what happens after that.

I wanted to check out some of the cigars (as well as the other entertainment options :)) at HLH, so I'll definitely be down to head there with you if you want.

Estebanh-

If you check on the volcano - suggestion if you dont mind - you should think about staying the night out at Arenal.

Try the Arenal Observatory lodge. It's been a couple years since I was there so you should check the lava flows to make sure your still facing the right side.. But the lodge is basically a few hundred yards from the base of Arenal. Sitting outside on the deck with a few Imperials and hearing the rocks tumble down the mountain is a nice experience...[wish I had a couple SL girls with me there at the time though!]

I will be in San Jose from the 9th till the 14th. I will be staying at the Crowne Plaza Corobici. It's a little out of the gulch but plan on using the CRT discount to eat at SL. Hope to see you there.

Bro,

Unless you have a VERY GOOD REASON for staying there you should really should get something closer to the gulch!

Is this your first trip ???

My brother wants to do the zip line stuff. I have been-there-done-that with other zip lines. Its kind of a kiddie thing, in my opinion. Does anyone think the Costa Rica zip lines are worth checking out?

I know this is old, but the zip lines are boring. The feel too safe. ;) Check out the arenal hanging bridges. I am not afraid of hights, but walking on these things 150 feet in the air had my legs shaking like a dog passing a peach pit.

Looking forward to my 2nd trip in 2 months to the SL mansion suite for the first time. I was impressed with the great group of guys I met on my 1st visit there. A wealth of knowledge inside those walls
Counting the days...I think I'm hooked !!
