HDR just took $184 out of my bank account. I am reserved for Nov. 5th. This charge just took place yesterday (Oct 26). And the charge of $184 doesn't even make sense. I reserved 2 basic rooms which are $103 per night. When I reserved back in August of this year this shit didn't happen. I moved most of my funds out of that bank account since I have given this debit card number to HDR and SL and didn't want my cash to somehow dissappear and that is exactly what happened. I've already contacted HDR thru email and am awaiting a response. I wrote that I wasn't prepared for that withdrawl and now I an incurring overdraft charges.

Has anyone else experienced this with HDR or SL? I thought the card number was just for reservation purposes or if you missed the reservation.

Sorry I won't be much help with this response but can't miss another oppurtunity to sayfuck the DR when it comes to lodging there.....

Hopefully things will work out but I would certainly stay on top of it..

I used this card last time to reserve. But when I got there I paid cash.

LOL @ Cujo's "fuk DR"

I'm gonna give them a chance to give me restitution. It I don't get it I will forget about HDR for all further trips.

HDR said it isn't a withdrawal. It is a hold to insure that I will stay there. This didn't happen last time. It has to be a new policy due to change in ownership. Does SL do this also?

Sorry, just wouldn't trust those shady bastards...... I still recommend that newbies stay there at least once for the entertainment. But the more stories over the years and the things you here, I prefer to put as little of my money as possible into their pockets.

Never use your debit card for hotel reservation, instead use a credit card. When they put a hold on a debit card it comes out right now.
