Yes, this is actually a serious question...

Of course, rico literally means "rich", but it's come to have a much "richer" meaning in the context we often hear it in. Therefore, the question - in that context, what is the best one-word English translation?

In what context?

If it's "Papi, ay que RICO" while you're giving her the high hard one, then the equivalent would be "baby oh yes that's SOOOOooo good".

If it's "Papi, tu eres rico?" then an RFM won't be far behind.

No one-word English translation occurs to me at the moment.

No doubt its all about context. But generally speaking it most often means fine or hot (as in looking)..

If she just swallowed something of yours and says "que rico papi", well then that's a different context 8)

Yep... that's four contexts so far.

So, to summarize:

1) rico as in "good"
2) rico as in "you got money"
3) rico as in "tastes good"
4) rico as in "fine" or "hot".

In a sexual context - as in "que rico pinga, papi"...

The one I'm leaning towards right now is "delicious", but I'm sure there must be a better one...c'mon, you native-Spanish guys - I'm counting on you!

Tasty, tasty, nice, delicious, abundant, well-supplied, well-endowed,
abounding, ample, chic, classy, copious, costly, deluxe, elaborate, elegant, embellished, expensive, exquisite, extravagant, exuberant, fancy, fecund, fertile, fine, fruitful, full, gorgeous, grand, high-class, lavish, lush, luxurious, magnificent, ornate, palatial, plenteous, plentiful, plush, posh, precious, priceless, productive, prolific, resplendent, ritzy, smart, snazzy, spiffy, splendid, stylish, sumptuous, superb, swank, swanky*, swell*, valuable, creamy, delicious, fatty, full-bodied, heavy, highly flavored, juicy, luscious, nourishing, nutritious, oily, satisfying, savory, spicy, succulent, sustaining, sweet, tasty....

In the context you mentioned she's telling you "nice/big/well-endowed/feels good/fine/hot d1ck".

I guess what I'm trying to say is I can't think of a one word translation as it is used in Spanish. :)

Well said, because there isn't any..

GR just be in tunned to the situation when you hear it, then you can almost apply a suitable substitue mentally in english.

Also pay attention to your own projection/demeanor when you say it to get the proper sentiment across...

How about "The bomb", but then you would have to specifically describe that word, which brings us around and around until we forget the question. I would think if you are handing her money or anything to do with money and you hear rico, don't get excited. If you are looking good, having sex, or making her laugh and enjoy herself, you da man, keep it going. Now, just to be clear, if you paid cien upfront but are sexually involved with her and she says rico, well it could mean that she is rich for that evening and you are terrible in bed.

Simpler, they may just want men to think they are as perfect as they want to appear to them, trying to hide what they consider to be the ugly truth about themselves. And I may be reading more into it than is there, but I do believe they consider the basis of the lies to be justified."

Okay - let's be more specific. What I'm actually doing is sub-titling a video - I need an English word to substitute for 'rico' in a sexual context...

What's the one word that would best convey the totality of what 'rico' expresses???

Instead of giving you a one word answer like hot, tell us how its used in the movie i.e. verbatim...

That will give a better idea on how to specifically translate it...
