Anybody watching this season of the Heavyweights? What a disappointment. I was expecting some real banging and all I got to say is “CARDIO mo’fo”. If you want to be a professional, I will assume that at least you will want to train to fight through a 5 minute round. Last night fight between McSweeney vs. Shivers at best was disappointing. Especially McSweeney being Evans main guy. No cardio at all.

Right, I decided to watch this season since this was supposed to be one of the best with the hype Kimbo brings. But so far aside from Rampage being pretty funny (sometimes) it has been very disappointing. First fight was totally one-sided the guy just laid down and bled all over the mat and the second one had me pissed, this guys are supposed to be top athletes and they were totally exhausted after a few minutes without really fighting much.
Maybe Kimbo can make it a little more interesting next week.

Oh and before someone replies and says "Exhausted, well you try and fight" well I am not a fighter, more of a CR lover...

The season is obviously all about Kimbo.

This is so win/ win for Dana White. He talked so much sh*t (most of it with good reason) about Kimbo that he comes out smelling like a rose on this one. If Kimbo does well, he brings his own audience with him to the UFC.

If he bombs, dana gets to say, "See I told you he couldn't hang with the best!"

Besides, when do you see heavyweight UFC fights go the distance?? Can't expect much from the ex-footballers. Marcus Jones(ex TB Buc) said it beast...they play for 5 seconds and then get a 35 second rest.

I kinda felt bad for Kimbo. He's not the arrogant bad ass I thought he was. Seems like a good guy...

I agree Kimbo does seem to be a really good guy.

As for the fight, it was disappointing that Kimbo could not get "Big Country off of him when they went to the ground because if it had been more of standup fight, I think Kimbo was going to knock him out.

However, the way they are promoting next week's show it appears Kimbo might get another shot because of an injury to Jones. We'll have to wait and see.

I started to like Kimbo too but my surprise there is not only a lack of cardio on this season but also a lack of overall fighting skills. They either are one dimensional at boxing or wrestling, etc. and not exceptionally good at that single skill. But for that overweight country boy to take on Kimbo that easily and put him on a crucifix position was embarrassing. Even Kimbo admitted at the end of the show that it was bad.

Agreed on Kimbo...it does seem there is a lot more there than we ever knew about before.

For me, the entertainment comes from Rampage...the dude is frickin hilarious!!  Then I just heard he isn't part of UFC anymore, did he go back to Pride?

Can you imagine ANY of these guys anywhere close to fighting Mir or Lesner

The UFC now owns Pride.

Supposely, he quit UFC because he got the role of B.A. Barracus (Mr. T's role) in the A-Team Movie.

However, I suspect at sometime in the future he will be back in the UFC.

And I totally agree Rampage is definitely the best part of the show.

I caught up on the first 3 episodes of the season yesterday. Disappointing is definitely an understatement. Abe the first week couldn't do a damn thing once that other dude got position on him and cut him WIDE OPEN, damn, I have never seen that much blood in a UFC fight.

Second week with McSweeney against Shivers was absolutely disgusting regarding the lack of stamina with both fighters. I also thought they got the decision completely wrong. I felt Shivers definitely won the fight but he looked so pathetic at the end of the 2nd round I think the judges then decided to the give the decision to McSweeney.

Kimbo, yea, he got manhandled by the fat guy. Couldn't do anything against him. Personality wise he really does seem like a nice person, not a jackass like some of these other fighters, but a grounded, cool guy. I have a strong feeling he'll be back when someone else leaves the competition.

Not sure how much more I'm going to invest but we'll see.

I'm pretty sure this isn't anything new, probably going on at least a year now.

You guys gotta remember, that fat country boy nearly went the distance with Andre Arlovski.

As for the show, yall don't think it's real do you. It's damn near a scripted show. Of course Kimbo is going to get another shot, and guess what, he's going to end up in the finals, which is the only fight that was not decided before the show began.

The only "The Ultimate Fighter" that was not a fully scripted show was #1 when Forrest Griffin won.

Do I hate the show, no I absolutely love it,but some of the things that happen are just way too obvious.

I do agree that Rampage is the best part of the show at the rate this is going it might just be better to give us an hour of Rampage making fun of the fighters and forget about the actual fights which are going nowhere.
