Your just gonna have to keep looking.

Just purchased 2 round trips, cheapest I have ever paid. AA still sucks but flying in from Reno there is no choice.

I bought a ticket from Chicago to SJO via Miami for less than $300 when tax and fees were added. Of course now is the slow season.

Like Rascal, my fare from Chicago was $272 RT. I can't imagine how much lower it can go. There are many forces at work fuel prices, capacity, High/Low Season and if you are flying from a major hub to name a few. If any of us could tell when fares will go lower they better hop on down to Vegas and hit the BJ table.

Does anyone know where we could find what time of year has the cheapest airfare for going to CR. Maybe a past history of airfares for the different airlines.

http://www.farecompare.com/articles

Once you fill in your departure airport and SJO, on the right side you'll see "Best Months to Travel"

You'll find the lowest reported fares for the next following months.

Thanks Almond. A lot of good info on that website. All they need is to add some sort "monger maximization" option where the ratio of chicas to guys is highest and the session rates are lowest.

And I may be reading more into it than is there, but I do believe they consider the basis of the lies to be justified."

I just booked Spirit out of Ft Lauderdale for $171 and change. I honestly don't see how it can get any cheaper than that. Join their $9 club and book your time in CR around the specials. My flight down was $13.90 and $75 to come back.... The rest was fees and taxes. Of course then they charge you an additional $19 for a checked back. Still pretty reasonable, if you ask me.
