Really, so what percentage of the 18-30 year old Costa Rican women are prostitutes? And if you have any idea, what do you base the conclusions on?

Mayhaps Brother Orange could list the Threads listing the "other options" available to Chicas for the benefit of the many, many Brothers who have joined us since this Topic was last visited. No, I'm not being sarcastic and if it's a challenge to him to do this, it's mild at best. Can we please tone down the vitriol and discuss this rationally? I'm certainly NOT asking that we all be friends--that's not going to happen and would thus be irrational.

But hey let`s not lower the bar here... I expressed certainty that prostitution was not the only pontential means of survival for young Costa Rican women and "Brother Orange" wanted to challenge that. So let`s see some figures, substantiated estimates of what percentage of the young women of CR are prostitutes, for if such was anything like necessary then I`d expect a substantial majority to be involved or else we see some starvation rates there on par with depressed areas of sub Saharan Africa. That would be a good place to start. Any proof of any of that?

And as to this other thread, I`m sure we will find some claims, in an environment where many want to feel like they are doing these girls a huge favor facilitating the prostitution there thus objectivity may be spotty. But are anything like most of necessity involved in prostitution? That was the issue..

I would say we all do things we would not have done, or are doing. But to digress to how a lady feels, I honestly do not know. I am sure about 90% would just like to take care of a home and one man. Unfortunately. life has dealt them a bad card. I, personally, can not be responsible for their actions, nor their situations. Nor, can I afford to deal with all their stuff, not financially, but emotionally. There is nothing wrong with a guy trying to help out. Maybe for him, or true, just for her, at that moment. But, we always look out for ourselves. And, so do they. To answer Berk's question, there is an absolute human side to certain ladies. I have very simple rules in life, which apply to all. Common decency, self respect, and open the freakin door for her, the same way you would want her to pull down your zipper. Come on, let's face it. Do you really think this is what she dreamed of as a young lady?

The converse, JOsie and Orange are 100% correct. The innocent games they play. But, it could not last forever, and they would have to put out. Somewhere within this monger web we weave, there is a lady, a person. Now, I am not stupid enough to get involved. I think that was their point. But. we all cherish a lady. Otherwise we would not be out like the outside lion upon the hill, looking down at lionesses. Somewhere in life, there is a balance. It differs for all of us guys.

Let's put fantasyland into reality. Does anybody really think that a little senorita is going with us for financial gain without emotional pain. They have a tough road. But, I am not in charge of Streets & Sanitations, so I say it is what it is. And, I always agree with cutting the strings, whether it hurts or not.
