Chico,

I am sorry you had a problem. I sopke with the staff and they are fumigating 4 times a year and spot spraying also. The rooms are kept very clean. As part of the room renovations they are sealing the walls and floors as much as possible.

I welcome anyone to drop by and see the rooms and our level of cleanliness.

How would you compare The Dunn Inn to other hotels such as Sportsmen’s, Castillo or La Amistad? Which one does it closest resemble and how are their rates? :?:

Thanks.

We have 26 rooms. The rates are $49 for a standard, $59 for Deluxe queen and they have one suite at $99. These prices are fully inclusive of taxes but before the 10% CRT discount. So the effective rates are $44, $53 and $99 respectivley. A continental breakfast is included. Over half the rooms have been redone with new tile and flat screen TVs. All rooms have electronic safes and mimi bars. I am happy to tour rooms for anyone that wishes to stop by.

Thes prices are in the same neighborhood as the Old wing of the Sl, all the rooms at the Castillo and the basic rooms at the Amistad. This is simply my opinion as I have not stayed at the Castillo or Amistad.

Just as BKtuna said..they prices and basic amenities are comparable.

But if you are the type that likes to wake up then walk to the courtyard and grab a chica then back to the bed for some morning fun...then nothing can compare to the convenience of Sportsmen's.. :) :P

Do they have a breakfast included or is that separate, because they do have a good breakfast there? I stayed there two years ago and it was small and the carpet was smelly but it was last minute and I got the worst room. Looks like they have done some upgrading thats great.

There is a continental breakfast included or you can order afull American Breakfast. Most of the rooms have been renovated, with flat screens and new tile. We are doing two more this week.

What's the policy gonna be on cigar/ pipe smoking inside--verboten? An adjacent outside or patio area? Do you plan to have a small cigar stand inside or do we have to trek through the muck and mire, and broken sidewalks to HLH? Also maybe small-bottle package goods for sale at the bar? Not nips but maybe some 375ml? Pushy bugger, ain't I?

We have not decided on cigar friendly or not. If we can do so where it does not overwhelm the place with smoke we will accomodate. I personally am a cigar guy and smoke Arturro Fuentes.
