I am getting into CR tomorrow and staying at SL. Was looking for a good driver to get us around for a few hours while we explore the city. I heard there are a lot of good drivers just wondered if anyone had any recommendations.

Did you call the SL front desk and ask them to hook you up?

The SL drivers (Martin, Gustavo and Rolando) are all good guys, speak passable English, and drive nice clean vans.

There's also Alex from Amistad -- used to live in NY (and drives like he still lives there ).

They will be more expensive than flagging a taxi on the street.

If you do a search in this forum, there have been many recommendations for other drivers, too.

Just stay away from Gato. He is not dependable and he might try to set you up with his wife.

Lomo is right about Gato. He tried to set me up with his girlfriend on my last trip. And no she is not hot. Supposedly has a little bit of a bad rap and is to big for the Del Rey nowadays.

If what you're saying about "The Cat" is true (and I have no doubt it is), somebody oughta dime this guy out. P*mps and pond scum--no difference.
